Falsely Slayed Pro-Chaos for attempted rdm.

First and foremost, this is not necessarily 100% a report on Sinora. The situation is pro-chaos hit me with an upgraded crowbar which only does 10 damage once. After which i chased him down and killed him. That is the end of the physical situation. Following these events, Sinora slayed pro-chaos for attempted rdm even though i did not report him or ask for him to be slain. Now, maybe the punishment for attempted rdm has changed, but this seams unreasonable. As i knew it, punishment was dealt if the person whom received the damage complained than a punishment may be dealt. Or if the attempted rdm caused an rdm chain than punishment may also be dealt which both seam fair. Either this rule has become a little to tyrannical or Sinora deal this slay a little too quickly. Either way i would appreciate some information on the subject. Thank you.

 

from what I know, staff have to deal punishment now regardless of whether or not a player wants to report it (if they catch on or witness it). and rdm is considered dealing any damage to a player without a legitimate reason. I think its dumb, but that's how it is

 

To start, it has been said admins that there is no attempted RDM, its RDM or its not RDM. Pro-Chaos dealt damage to an innocent player, so he could be KOS. But the act of doing so is RDM, for he had no reason to hit Pluto with his crowbar. RDM is not tolerated, and even though someone may not want a slay issued, a slay still needs to be issued for RDM. This is what I have been taught, and if an admin would like to respond and tell me otherwise, I will change my ways and make sure this doesn't happen again. But as of right now I believe the slay was justified.

 

Sinora's slay was justified. If we witness RDM or see it in the logs, then we have to deal with it. There is no need for an official report to be made in order for punishment to be used.
