Answered Are File Snatchers Allowed Here?

    There are some decrypters and scripts easily obtainable that I seen some players use, and basically, it obtains every file sttt uses, and places them into a .zip or .rar file, are they allowed?

    The way that lua file "snatchers" work is they decrypt the lua files that are already sent to the client. They do not download any server side lua files.

    When a add-on is added to the server at the top it will say something like "AddCSLuaFile("autorun/client/ExampleClientFile.lua")" The server side add-on file will never be sent to the client.
    When a "file snatcher" runs it will decrypt the "ExampleClientFile.lua". If the addon is made properly the client file will basically be useless to someone who would want to "steal" the add-on.

    As for if it is allowed I will leave that for a Lead or Highwon however, I don't see it harming the server.
