I am pretty much addicted to audiobooks. I listen to a lot of fantasy books and it makes work bearable. Instead of being bored to hell i zone out and have epic movies play out in my head. Some good series are Wheel Of Time Mistborn The First Law (first book beginning to take a look ) The Reckoners The Warded Man Stormlight Archives The Rhythmatist Lies Of Locke Lamora The Broken Empire The Prince Of Thorns The Dark Tower And lots more i could list and will do so later All of these series have Quality Narrators which bring out the stories, believe me there are bad readers out there and it makes the story dull and boring and why the hell would we want to listen to that? I want to feel each character when they are speaking their lines and have it play out flawlessly. Please enjoy some of them, if you are looking for a certain type of book maybe i could help let me know. I know good torrent site for audiobooks but i dont believe i can share that on here so just add me on steam.
Audio books are a God-send honestly. I have a reading disability so having audio books is a miracle for college reading assignments xD I did actually have to read the golden compass series, and it was awesome! Then we compared them to the movie which was ebola. But still, any recommendations for someone who hates philosophy but loves scary books?!
Well if your looking for a scary series I'd suggest The Dark Tower by steven king or The Warded Man. There are a bunch of "thriller" type of novels I have listened to and the person reading it makes all the difference.
oh yeah, that's the problem. You can seriously dislike an audio book real fast if the reader doesn't make your mind juicy with imagination! I will have to check those out!
Yea audiobooks have come a long way since then, especially in the last 5 years. Some books cost near 50$ now... but the quality cannot be beat.
The Warded Man was supposed to be scary? Nobody told me. The first book was alright, but the sequels were completely fumbled.
The only dark fantasy I have listened to yougotta route for the bad guy not sure if ive listened to a scary book semi dark if anything
I find it easier to listen to an audiobook rather than reading a book myself. I'm not sure why that is though.
audiobooks aren't my thing. the sounds always just fades to the background for me so its not really convient for me
Try one of the books I've suggested, they all suck you into them if you have any down time or can listen at work.
