Simple concept: remove the numbers from votes in the map selection process. This way people will not bandwagon other maps that others want because they have a higher count per say. Everyone will choose the map that they want with no other influence. This has been mentioned in other threads, and there are no negatives to it that are worth noting in my opinion.
+1 I actually think this is a really good idea. Someone always picks one random map then every body piles on it.
people choose the ones they want to play but when it comes down to the final few seconds you see everyone changing their vote to the one map or the map that is second highest because they don't want the other one to win
+1 Please. I do see a lot of players going to the map with the higher amount of votes. Which is most of the time the "OverPlayed Maps."
But then you have no idea if your map is "winning" or not, and cannot choose an alternative map that you may like.
This would be nice to include, but I agree with Rice. If I see my map is not winning, I switch to another one with some votes already that I feel like playing. +0 for now.
Or maybe a marker with the maps top three that are being voted for? Instead of ranked 1,2,3 just having a marker though
No, I meant what Shadow said. I would prefer to choose a map I like playing. If I see 67th way not being picked while Bank has 7 votes (tied or very close), I'll go ahead and vote for Bank. Not being able to see votes hinders that advantage.
In my experience my map never wins because theres the 5 maps or so that people will always bandwagon. The concept would try to assure a more equal chance for other maps to be played aside from the overplayed maps. So instead of there being 2 maps with all the votes, there could be a multitude of maps with an even chance of being selected if they vote counts are the same (given that the chances of them being the same will be much greater with people not dumping votes into the more popular map of the current voting stage).
