I wasn't banned but it's very possible i will be in the future, I'm just wondering for people who've been here a long time can get like a clean slate?​

Any ban that has expired for 3 months or over will be ignored when checked for future offenses; not including hacking bans.

An administrator or higher can completely disregard this statue of limitations.

To answer your question, yes, bans can be reset, if it has been more than 3 months since the last ban, then offenses get reset.
For example, if a player is banned in November for a First Offense of RDM & leave, and then is banned again in December it will be a second offence.
If the same player is Banned again in July, then it will only be a first offense.
