Why you should be unbanned:

I was banned for refusing to change my name, since my friend is HOBOxECHO, and i am ECHOxHOBO. This has never caused any confusion before, nobody in the game was confused, and this is the only time anyone has ever said anything. We have played with other admins, mods, and everything else, and nobody has ever cared, even if they do point out that it is interesting. You will see that HOBOxECHO is banned from server one, however he was also banned with no solid ground. The mod that banned me, Guilty-Crown, was in the wrong when he banned me, and I believe it was due to a personal dislike of my personality, seeing that he did not say anything to my friend. I respectfully ask to not be banned.​

I can back this one up. We were on the server for at least an hour today, not including all the other time we've spent on this server. And out of the blue, this guy decides to tell us to change our names even though everyone thinks our names are funny and nobody has ever been confused. I just want him unbanned so we can play this together again.

 

I suspect that he banned me due to a personal dislike of me, it really doesn't seem fair that he will be responding to my appeal.

 

Just a rule of thumb. If a staff deems your name to be inappropriate or may cause confusion (read: RDM), and asks to change your name, you should really change it. Refusing to change your name may get you banned as you can see.

 

I know, but the problem is that he was doing it as a personal problem, he was like an officer looking to give a ticket. If he didn't get me for this, he would just keep looking for something until he found it. I shouldn't be banned for standing up for myself.

I banned you because you refused to change your name to prevent any confusion. I informed you that not all players have your mindset and asked you what would happen if someone said "KOS Echo or KOS Hobo"? Considering you and your friend's names both have the same similar parts to it (just reversed), it would cause confusion among certain players and cause unnecessary RDM. This is why I asked you to change it. You however, chose to defy me and said other words that not all players are stupid (which is true), but when the small possibliity of RDM exists, I will do what I can to prevent it.

You refused to understand and then decided to come back after I kicked you for not listening the first couple of times. You did not think of every player that was playing and chose to focus only on yourself and only yourself. Unfortunately, this appeal is denied because of your refusal to change your name to prevent confusion. You did not take the entire server into account of your decision and have paid the consequence for it. And believe me, I take no personal grudges when it comes to making bans. It's strictly business.

@The Booty was also there when everything happened. It's unfortunate that this situation turned out this way when it could have been resolved quickly. This appeal will be locked at your acknowledgement.

ya...I'm Just saying this, but nobody in our months of playing has ever been confused about our names. They read the first part and say it. Plus on the slight chance of an RDM neither one of us would even think to report this due to this issue.

 

Well if you would ask nicely, I would. Kidding, I would've done the same thing that Guilty did, considering I know I would've fumbled the names if I had decided to call one of you out by Mic, making your names then seen as abusable/giving you an edge in the game. Or a disadvantage, mind you. It's to prevent you or your buddy @HOBOxECHO from getting rdm'd. Same goes for you. He was just in his ban against you for refusal to change your name after multiple warnings. But, if an admin would kindly conclude on this I think that would happily satisfy their queries upon us.

 

Sorry about that, I'm just a little upset understandably. It doesn't seem fair that he gets to be judge, jury and executioner. I KNOW that he doesn't like me, I KNOW that nobody has ever been confused, and I KNOW that had there been any other figure of authority online, I would still be playing happily, with no rdm, or "advantage", or anything of the sort. It's ridiculous that he can just shut my case like that.

Just a note: I don't know you well so I can't give a biased opinion of you if I don't know you. It's not personal dislike that led to my decision. It's the server's player base that caused my decision to sway to this. I hope you understand.

 

The two names are similar enough to cause confusion. Not all players KOS by full name and even then it can get confusing. Guilty's decision to ask you to change your name is not biased and he was doing what is best for the server.
