so in till this day i always thought if you called a kos on your self and you are ino you can be slayed for fals kos even though you did it to your self. just wondering i asked a mod and they said you could not be slayed for it, is this true
how do you know its false, what if they did something traitorous so they kosd themselves, then its a false slay
First off: Why call kos on self. And 2: If that kos leads to a chain of rdm that person is liable for every death along that chain.
We've had loophole trolls try to get away with calling KOS's on themselves. This act results in other players, usually innocents, to kill them, causing them to lose karma, and it has the potential to cause an RDM chain, ruining the round for more than one person. If a player false KOS's themselves multiple times, the staff usually take action by following the protocol of: 1st False KOS: Warn 2nd False KOS: Slay 3rd False KOS: 2 slays 4th False KOS: 24 hour ban Usually these players learn, but in the past we have had players banned for up to six months for conflicts of interest with the community standards. TL;DR: A player can be slain, and even banned, for false KOSing themselves.
Because if you are innocent and you call a kos on yourself, that will ALWAYS be considered a false kos since it literally says at the bottom of your screen that you are innocent.. lol.
A false KOS means calling a KOS on a known innocent. It would be a false KOS even if you did something traitorous; think about the fact that as soon as you called the KOS, it would be traitorous. That method would be called loophole trolling and players have been banned for it.
I think of it more like KOSing a detective. You cannot kill a detective for doing something traitorous as you know that a detective cannot be a traitor with 100% certainty. In the same way you know with ABSOLUTE certainty you are not a traitor so any KOS on yourself with always be false if you are an inno.
If you seriously want to call a KOS on yourself (after RDM, etc.), then why don't you just kill yourself in console or by the world?
