Hello dear friends of the SeriousTTT Community! It has come to my attention that my mic is utterly terrible. Voice chat is weird and sometimes, I've been told, words skip? Anywho, it is time for a new mic! So, any reccomendations? Just please consider that it be: A trusted name brand Anywhere from $75-$200. Hoping for some nice feedback, thanks guys!
Are you looking for just a mic or a mic/headphones combo? If just a mic, do you already have a good pair of ear phones?
Get a pair of turtle beach pc ones, they are cheap and do the job then gamble the rest of that money. work yourself into debt, sell your house and organs and gamble more then eventually run from the men who will be after you! or yeah just save the left over money if you want to be boring @HandsOfJustice
Okay so my feedback, turtle beaches I bought were 20-30 pounds, they are still in good condition no problems from them and they were an older model. All the mics on headsets come with a flexi cord so you can position the mic to any position which suits. The ear pieces themselves go comfortably over your ears with soft fabric to avoid irritation and yeah! I have a big head and they are fine lol! I know I haven't said the model name but this is due to not remembering and looking at reviews they are all getting good reviews!
If you want them for music I will highly recommend Fanny Wangs but for gaming ugh... the only gaming headset I've ever had is a 20$ Logitech one xD
Anything by Sennheiser. Literally shits on Turtle Beach, Beats, and Razer. http://en-us.sennheiser.com/pc-gaming-headset
@Darktooth it probably does that because it shits on the price of Turlte Beaches. You can easily get some decent headsets from Turtle Beach for $30.
So here's the deal, if all you care about is gaming buy a crap pair of headphones for less than 75. Any cheap turtle beach if your looking for a trusted name brand. If you're an audiophile, or otherwise big time music guy you are better off getting a good pair of sennheiser or ultrasone headphones and buying a mod mic and a sound card . If you are using a laptop AND you are an audiophile the closest you'll get is using a usb headset but it won't be as easy.
That's a second vote for Sennheiser from me. Shits cash and you can find a decent pair in the range you're looking for. I've had two headsets from them for PC.
If you're convinced on spending in that price ranging, meaning you can afford quality, do go Sennheiser or Audio-Technica. I only use Razer's because I've never had issues with them and they're affordable.
I've got one with a mic. I have mine on the wire versus attached to the set. Makes it a little less awkward to do other computer stuff.
