I am here to announce to you all PROJECT BARTHOLOMEW, THE PERFECT TTT EXPETIENCE. This new brand new server is going to be based on a heavily modified version of ttt, where in all the maps you can preform the infinite c4 trick. There will also be no mods, just me and @BARTHOLOMEW. Make sure to look out for the spacecraft 24/7 server!
PROJECT BARTHOLOMEW, also known as BEFORE HOURS GAMING, WILL RELEASE A DAY BEFORE AHG AND ALSO BE BETTER IN EVERYWAY.
What’s with all this anti kpop shit lol like I don’t really care for the music but why are we bullying people for liking kpop y’all are silly
You can like their shit they just gotta STOP SPAMMING GIFS OF THEM DOING REGULAR HUMAN SHIT BRO LIKE WHAT MAKES IT SPECIAL BRO RUSSELS MY JIMMYS AND BOILS MY BRONSONS
Not sure why people are mad when someone spams shoutbox nonstop with kpop gifs then comes to the forums to do the exact same shit once they get banned. It's really relevant to the transition of the server
It wouldn't be a serious community post without people arguing about dumb unrelated shit in the replies. Things end as they began.
What a great run to this community during it's peak, made lots of enemies and friends the time I stayed here. Best of luck to Jabba and the others to the new home for old and new SGM peeps also the future members to the new community.
These are two of my earliest screenshots that I've got from late January and February 2014 from when I first encountered Serious TTT in the server lists, and I was lucky enough to happen upon Highwon playing on East that late night in February: Spoiler: Images It's really wild to think that while many communities that I've frequented off and on in the past have fallen to the wayside or have themselves been retired, like TrashedGamers in TF2, or Lifepunch here on GMod, that all these years later Serious TTT is, and sadly soon to be was, still around doing what it does best: Trouble in Terrorist Town, played seriously (for the most part) with a fair set of rules that are enforced overall fairly. The old version of the Extended Rules before it got overhauled was quite literally a masterpiece that you could not lawyer your way out of, because it took into account damn near every imaginable scenario. That was one of many reasons why I kept coming back, and here we are today in 2021. I hate to admit it but what Valve has done to its other Source games (namely TF2 and CS:GO) by more and more heavily leaning into its own infrastructure as "the" experience has unfortunately resulted in the demise of many otherwise healthy communities, exactly as predicted on what used to be an active and also lively HLDS mailing list, whose only real activity these days is unfortunately Kyle Sanderson attempting to squeak out answers and/or fixes from Valve, and even then that activity on his part has become very infrequent. Sadly that hasn't really done many favors for operators of Garry's Mod chains either. Communities are a huge part of what make playing multiplayer video games worthwhile, and the fact that many of today's multiplayer games rely on developer owned-and-operated infrastructure without any sort of real permanent bond being formed just straight up...sucks to tell you the real truth. Especially in the case of today's TF2, the fact that literally nobody is taking care of its own infrastructure is a sad sight. But, times change and some of us take on new interests and fade others away. What won't fade is all the great times we've had. @Highwon, it's been a real pleasure being a part of this community of yours, and I definitely wish you a happy retirement. You've definitely earned it. I also wanna congratulate @Pierogi for pushing for the change he wanted to see in this community of ours and for earning a great role in our soon-to-be successor. To all the other staff, past and/or present, thanks for being a cool bunch as well. Your efforts do not go unappreciated.
