Important SGM Transition

Damn, I love this place at the top of my heart. It will always stick around for me. I will never forget this moment. This whole entire community was amazing. Although I was not there for most of it. I just know that it was great and always will be.

You did one hell of a job and kept everything going for 8 years. I am proud of you @Highwon. You made this community.
You saw people grow up and move on with there lives, You gave them the best time of their lives, You brought happiness to everyone here. I am proud of you. Like, you brought so many friendships here. We would of never met anyone here.
You did this. And I am so god damn proud of you. Just think on how many people you brought together here and everyone stuck together until the end. We all will miss you. And I hope you the best.
We all support you.
Honestly, I met so many good people here. You all know who you are and I love you all.
I am usually sad, but when I get to talk to people here and play, That brought me happiness. People here gave me love and joy. Although there is still people that dislike me but hey, we all stuck together until the end.

You know Highwon, I may have given you a lot of shit especially in these past few years, but thank you for everything with this place. I'm barely 21 now and I've been playing here since I was 13, it's helped me through the good and the bad times, and it's helped me make a lot of great friends. I will severely miss this place and hope that whatever you happen to do after this makes you happy and fulfilled.

I want to thank Highwon and the community. I first came to this place a few years ago when Devolved, another community I was close to, closed down and I sought refuge here (with some other Devolved people too). This place kept my love for TTT strong and I made some new friends too. There aren't many forum based communities anymore so I really cherish it when a place like this exists. I will definitely be on the transition, I have played TTT for like 7 years now, and I'm not gonna stop (propkilling).

 

Many a memory was made on this server throughout my late teens. I have to attribute some of the skills I learnt here to where I am right now in my life.

Guess I can finally remove SGM from my bookmark bar.

Thanks for everything guys, especially those from the early days that made the memories great.

You all know who you are.

 

So SGM finally kicks the bucket. It was only a matter of time but I've enjoyed my stay here. Thank you Highwon for hosting the servers for as long as you did. I made some good memories on this community.

Damn. I've been here for almost 7 years now. I joined SGM because I was banned for 1 week on the 1st GMod server I ever joined for saying "fuck you" too many times. Map I joined was community bowling. I've seen most of it besides the Skype scandal and smthn else. 1/11, Toon Link, too much to list. I'm not really sad or anything. It's not like we're all going away as After Hours will still keep us together. It also gives me room to spread what I've been developing these past couple months. It seems disappointing how much STTT/SGM hasn't changed but at the same time it's kind of comforting. The forums style has always remained the same (except for when they removed the grey theme and only left us with the black theme). The point shop has been mostly the same since the redesign in late 2014 besides the weapon skins and settings tab, the HUD and weapons have all remained mostly the same. It's nice, but left us a little stale. You have to judge for yourself how you feel about that.

Honestly it's impressive that Highwon had a large GMod community that has always been active running for upwards of 8 years now. I honestly can't think of another GMod community that has run this long and also had a community as active and closely knit as ours. I've made many friends, memories, and had fun times. Forums will still be up so all the content will stay. Thank you to Highwon.

Thank you for what has been the better part of a decade. Thousands of hours, bans, and friendships have been through this server. When I came back before it was because it wasn't time for this place to close the doors.

Now, here we are, with a new place for folks to go and make memories. No, you all don't need saving this time. SGM has been great and has held a high position in TTT for years.

Thank you @Highwon. I would check this place off as an accomplishment.
