So in this report https://www.seriousgmod.com/threads/hummgys-appeal.57590/#post-618965 I thought asking for perma bans, or any extended ban wasn't given out anymore?
Based on Lordy's response to the appeal initially, and seemingly genuine reluctance to unban, it seems to me like this is a special case and definitely not "for the lolz". At least not the way it was perceived by Lordy. Gaming addiction is real whether you want to admit it or not, an in that case giving a perma ban to the user in question seems like the nice thing to do - and both leads at the moment seem like pretty nice people. There's no real argument that can be made why people shouldn't be perma banned by request - especially if the request is in the form of "I am addicted and need help". If a perma ban is then not given, that lead is knowingly putting someone in a position wherein their mental health can decline, despite having a way to easily stop it. I'd like to see anyone try and make one.
Like tragic said, gaming addictions are a real thing. Im sure that if you come to them with genuine concerns about your addiction, they would be more than happy to help you out.
wrong. I asked for a ban last year and @Jabba the Slut decided to use that as a reason to shadowban me from the forums a few weeks back.
>last year also guys I fixed the glitch were your text doesn't turn green when you try to do green text! thank you for all your support!
wait isn't that the point of asking for a ban? also i requested a ban on 2017 so i can focus on studies and its was accepted
