    Hey guys and gals,
Trying to figure out if I am missing anything. So the Tazer does do 10 damage, so it is counted as random damage if unwarranted.

Now, in the rules and changelog of rule, it specifies that if the detective damages you, you can shoot back.

So my question comes in with the extended rules. It specifies two things
    1) If a Detective tazes you, you cannot kill them when you get up unless they repeatedly taze you or shoot (at) you.
    2) You may kill a detective if they are shooting at you with an intention to kill.

Why is the rule Extend rule 1 there? If they are damaging on sus or randomly it is rdm. Shouldn't the detective be always doing damage with intent to kill or am I missing a situation where a detective could taze someone without KOS?

The reason the first rule is in there is because, since the damage happens at the beginning, and if they dont shoot you while you are down, they arent actively damaging you. Now if they taze you a second time, then you can shoot back because it would be considered actively damaging.

And as for if the 10 damage is RDM if it is unwarranted, the answer is most definitely it is random damage.

I do understand the RDM part, but why did we create the first rule of multiple tazes I guess is more accurately my question?

The detective is doing damage that we consider RDM in an unwarranted situation. Why is the discrepancy compared to other damage?

Because there is a delay between you taking the damage and being able to shoot back. If the detective does 10 damage to you with a gun, but doesnt shoot at you any more, or stops shooting at you, you also have to stop shooting them. Its more of a clarification on the active damage rule with detectives, as well as a rule that actually allows you to shoot back at them if they taze you again.

Okay, that makes more sense to me as clarification on the active damage rule. Thank ya much!

Would this still apply if the detective did 99 damage to me?

Yes, if they stop shooting at you, there isnt really any reason for you to kill them, since you know for certain they are on your team

Actually, I did have a situation that happened in a previous round a week or two ago that I am curious about this subject.

I RDM'd someone by tazing them. Taser was very new to me, didn't know it did damage. I tazed them again and walked away from them, because out of credits. I walked away from them and was in a separate room, and they came into that room and rdm'd me. So in this case, would rule 1 apply and you can KOS, or since I walked away would this be an RDM for both me damaging with the taser and them as an inno shooting a detective?

I would call them both RDM. The spirit of the rule is that the detective is continuously damaging someone. If they walk away, get hunted down, and then killed, I would call that RDM, or at the very least a Toxic kill worthy of a slay. The end result would be that both of you would get a slay.
