I assume @A Slightly Ferocious Cat had their password taken. Watch out for the scam, they get you to go to the website, and then you sign in through steam, and they have your password then. https://www.reddit.com/r/Scams/comments/j0h88q/i_got_a_suspicious_message_from_a_friend_in_steam/
yeah if a person you havent talked to in years messages you a shady link for a dumbass reason, maybe don't click it and log in with your steam. in other words, have some common sense.
I didn't click on the link. Once it was messaged to me, I looked into what was going on and figured since it was a person that I met through this community, I thought I'd try and help some of the others here.
She (I mean the person who took her account) messaged me the same thing, I do hope she gets her account back.
Had this happen to me, except it was ME that had my password stolen. I have no idea how this happened considering I had two-step verification enabled... pretty scary stuff.
This happens to me since I have kids about my age as friends. And my steam friends have the common sense of about -5
I got my account back, thankfully they didn’t do anything that can’t be undone. Thank you for making this post to spread awareness.
Along the same vein, if any body's got a way to contact @Scotty (Destiny Blade), his account seems to have also been compromised.
