I while back I had visited a Denny's a few cities over. They usually have good food and good service but someone was having a horrible day. I ordered a chicken dish and it came to the table raw. I asked the server if I could get it remade and she said sure and brought it back. The chicken then came back burned as a FUCK. Basically nothing but char. I told the server and instead I asked for a different dish, which was just a regular burger. I ordered it medium and you wouldnt guess it, but that too came out burned to a crisp. I finally told the server to just refund the money but that I was still going to tip well because she was doing a good job handling the problems we were having. She went back to the kitchen and told the cook and I could hear the guy screaming from the back of the kitchen. He came out to the lobby cursing at the managers and eventually said "Fuck this shitty ass job fuck you and fuck you" as he pointed to the manager and the server. He walked out and I'm just sitting there with my family wondering what the fuck just happened. Yes I did go back
I remember one time I went to a pizza parlor with my mother. We wait 20 minutes to be seated and another 25 minutes for our order to arrive. I don't know what they did but when the pizza came it was really slimy so when we picked up the slice all the toppings fell off and we had a topless pizza with tomato sauce. I never went to that parlor again.
Went to a kfc. Got our order entirely wrong not once or twice, but THREE FUCKING TIMES. The guy mixed the order up with 3 other people's orders and we got a coupon or shit or free orders. I don't really remember any of the details because I was like 6.
I was at a McDonalds I order a big mac watched them make my food in front of me and the dude who made my mother fucken big mac had the balls to drop one of the patties on the floor then pick it up and put it back on my burger then they handed me my food as nothing happened at all I was so fucking pissed I got my refund and never went back to that place again
Went to a well known and popular restaurant in South Philly. It was all good except the Chicken Picatta, which my uncle got. It tasted like they squirted lemon juice and that was it, nothing more. We asked the waitress if we could have another plate since we figured it was a mistake, she got my uncle a new plate and it tasted the same. We asked her about the recipe and she told us that they literally squirt lemon juice and maybe like 2 others to lower the acidity of the piccata. Honestly, everything else was fuckin on point, but the piccata sucked and felt bad for my uncle (especially since he cooks all the time at home and he knows how to cook and mix spices). TBH, it's a small story. I honestly haven't really ever had a bad restaurant experience besides that, and it wasn't even me.
I ordered 2 chicken patties from mcdonalds and they gave me 2 chicken patties without bread BUT they put them into one mcdonalds nugget boxed stacked on top of each other.
I just remembered another: I was at a restaurant that no longer exists and I was 6 at the time. My Step-father convinced me to eat the black beans and rice dish. Well turns out that I have an intolerance to the oil black beans secrete, because not more than 30 minutes after I finished I threw it all back up and onto my older sister. My sister still hates me for that!
There was this time at a McDonalds where this really tall woman came running into the building without shoes and was raving about killing her boyfriend while not paying attention to anyone, walked to the drink machine, filled up a cup and ran out spilling a long line of soda while still yelling and continued to in the parking lot. Not necessarily the restaurants fault but it was for not cleaning up the needle left next to the trash can on the way out :flushed:
I went with my family to this place that was suppose to have the best fucking pizza ever. Literally everyone was talking about it, calling it the greatest and what not. I shit you not they brought us out a store bought frozen pizza. I was so pissed, well, I wasn't pissed. I got a burger, and it was pretty okay, but my parents were pissed.
I went to France to see some family; my uncle and aunt. They are very disorganized and confused people, they assumed that me and my sister were picky eaters [which we are, but I'll eat most things]. Anyway, to get a meal with them, they took us to one of those diners built into a supermarket [kind of like how they have Starbucks or Subways in some Walmarts]. The food was AWFUL. I ordered a fish filet, which was undercooked, I took one bite and couldn't eat the rest, somehow the fish tasted like lobster. The fries they served with it were also awful, they were a really dark brown, and they were soggy, which is not a good sign. I even got a Coke from them, and I don't know if French drinks are different or if it was expired, but the Coke tasted wrong...it wasn't even carbonated, and drinking it felt like the sugar wasn't dissolved. As far as the "atmosphere" went, the cashier of the restaurant looked like an extra from Orange is the New Black, and they were playing those awful songs you hear in every supermarket. I had a 50 Euro bill my dad gave me, and I almost wanted to run across the street and buy myself something (anything else) from the pharmacy across the road, but my dad stopped me because "it's not polite." Obviously I can't go back, but the lesson I've learned is to never eat at one of those places, ever.
I ate at a local bar restaurant once and waited over an hour and a half (after ordering) for my food, which came out obviously from a microwave. It wasn’t busy, it wasn’t happy hour. We were one of 3 parties there. The waitress apologized, admitting she was new and she happily got an older employee to get us better food. We ordered from the older employee, and proceeded to wait another hour before we complained again. We told them to stop the food and then we just left. It’s not as bad as other experiences, but honestly as bad as I’ve gotten it. We’ve never been back since, and for some reason that very same place gets semi-rave reviews and is still open.
