I saw a cool video awhile back detailing one's internal troubles and eventual self imposed exile from being an active member of the furry community, which was removed a month or two after upload. Someone was able to reupload it rather recently and provided a little reason why it could of been removed in the description: The video opens up pretty rough into a few dark experiences from the author's underaged adventures in the fandom and why his own point of view matters when giving his thoughts on the community. It does have a few interesting statistics and gives some reference on why a few perceptions are the way they are. Something I don't recall the author mentioning at any point is that this community is probably super duper broad like any controversial community (/b/ shitposters, cults, incels, nazis) and is just a detailed opinion on his thoughts after years of experience within said community. Obviously everything said won't be applicable to each and every single member of said fandom. What are you thoughts on the furry fandom? I personally think it's like the twitter kpop fancammers; I really don't care as long as you aren't spamming it on every fucking tweet you see. That said, the darkest spots are truly despicable and need remediation of some sort. Stay respectful, no personal attacks.
Indifference. If they like animals, cool. If they like sexy time with animals, cool. Idgaf. Everyone's got a thing.
Depends on the day. If I'm killed by a furry in a game I have one of two responses: "..." or "I just got killed a furry fuck. Time to set out next spawn to personally hunt them like they should've been the first time." This is especially the case in Mordhau. I can't stand the furries that make it their whole damn existence. Maybe or maybe not being in a TTT community such as this one. I've encountered a: "You're just harassing me cause I'm a furry. You only killed me cause I'm a furry" You don't shut the fuck up about being a furry and I really will kill you for being one. AND THE SPRAYS I don't care if you're being annoying or not, if I see one god damn furry spray featuring raging cock and balls clearly visible through said furry pants, I am most definitely judging you to the fullest extent. That does not pass the vibe check in any sense, and that goes for any weird-ass porn like sprays. These are just especially bad. ty
Some people want to have an escape from the harsh reality they live in and I can understand that. With that being said your emotions mean nothing to me and if you are going to share your cringy shit everywhere you go because you're "special" then FUCK OFF.
I have online friends who are furries but I really don't care for most furries out there. I think the reason why many furries out there are weird is because it's mostly an online community. You can find the same types of people in any other overly-online community (anime, non-mainstream video game, brony, k-pop, weird political ideology, etc.). However, I think it's more of a problem for the furry community since a lot of it is based on sex-appeal, which is hard to deal with if you're a minor or not in it to be horny.
You literally summed up everything that I wanted to say. It isn't normal if you make being a furry your entire existence, though this applies for most other types of online communities like anime and shiz. Don't shove it in my face and yeah, the sprays, ugh fuckin just creep me the fuck out and I actually feel weird looking at my bulldog afterwards. Just stop it please.
I meant more like sexy time between human to human dressed as animals. Obviously I don't think that furries should be fucking dogs. Bad move.
To be honest, I am neutral when it comes to furries. However, with two major exceptions: If someone treats the fact they are a furry as something special, and suddenly expect me to praise them, convert and say they are great and all that, then I just reply: 'Dude, are you f*cking crazy or something? I don't give a damn about your 'speciality', kiddo.' The second exception is when they take their furry art too far and is actually indecent, immoral or gross. At that point, server rules aside (because obv. art that falls under the prohibitions set by the rules is dealt with accordingly), I judge them as if they are at least somewhat insane, because I believe what they are doing and showing is not okay under any circumstances, and thus, reserve my right to hold them as if they are indeed insane.
Kindaaa weird bro If someone is actually into that kind of stuff and associate themselves with the fandom they are quickly shown the door. Especially on twitter. Holy shit have any of you seen the witch hunts that go on for these people? Even like the popular ones with Kero the Wolf, that mans got destroyed I'm just trying to wear a fursuit and be cute :3
Never post here anymore but we made a documentary for uni about local furries and how the stigma they possess. Maybe give it a watch (edited by me hehe)
