Should i be kicked for drawing a buddist peace sign

okay so i was kicked for drawing a buddist peace sign or which others know as a swatztika, but i didnt draw it like a nazi symbol but i drew it another way should i be kicked for this just wondering because there have been many times where different things happened

 

no you can not be kick for drawing period if a staff kicked you for that plz report them

 

In this particular case, a mod could kick if you were asked to stop and complained against. An admin could kick you if they think that it would benefit the server.

 

I disagree with this. In this regard, some people can get offended by you drawing those kinds of symbols. However, only if you were asked to stop due to complaints from other players.

yea i was not asked to stop the round ended and i was kicked plus i was drawing a buddist peace sign so not the Nazi swatztika

Damgatito, I've already warned you once, and kicked you. You argue that is is a Buddhist peace sign, and it is, I'm aware. But it also references things that others may feel hurt by, therefore harassment. Just now you threatened to continue drawing them, I saw you do it and you have been banned for 8 hours for harassment.

 

It doesn't matter that you associate the symbol with peace, others associate it with one of the darkest and evil regimes ever to terrorize the world and the atrocities that they committed. I however think that you were trying to bend the rules and troll the server. The 8 hour ban is just.

 

people are being bothered by a subject that they do not know about so truley they cant be bothered by it because if they were truley being bothered by it then they have absolutley no idea what a buddist swatztika is the last time i checked it was a peace sign these people are being bothered by a peace sign and you re saying that i am am invoking hatred how does that make sense so a peace sign envokes hatred so the people on this server are being bothered by peace

Please rewrite this in an understandable way. You seem to be saying that because you don't understand why people are upset by something they don't have a legitimate reason to be offended? This is a frankly an ignorant view point.

 

this same incident has already happened to me and it was taken care of with mango tango when he was an admin

Considering you can not provide screenshots because you "deleted" the images, we cannot do anything. Especially If a staff member was on at the time, and has not warned, kicked, or banned the reported player for anything of this sort, there is hardly much we can assume.

The reported player damgatito is not guilty of the crime Offensive Emblems.

 

It doesn't matter. If some people are bothered by certain concepts, then you should have the kind decency to not continue to draw it. Some religious concepts or symbols should not be used in the game. It wouldn't matter if you drew a cross, but the swastika can bother some people due to the entire nature of it being used by the Nazis during the WWII era (albeit, with the dots removed and having the entire thing tilted).

Also the difference between that report and this one is that you were clearly warned and the moderator has taken the appropriate steps. The other report was due to lack of evidence.

 

Wonderful, simply wonderful. However, I am not interested in the historical history of this symbol. I am taking it from the perspective of you disobeying a staff member and continuing a behavior that was making players uncomfortable. After you were asked to cease, you continued simply for the cause of pushing an issue. You deserve the ban. The intent behind these actions was to troll and cause problems. You were banned due to this malicious intent.

Well, if he were drawing the ones as shown in the initial report, then they weren't the symbol we all associate with Nazis. All it would take is a little bit of education for our players that are complaining about it, as well as the staff members. You can post the screenshots and, if they are like the first report, they are not swastikas.

 

yes but this is nearly the same thing that happened last time and it was not a malicios intent i drew the buddist peace sign just like the last time it bothered people and also bothered the mod that as on before it was simply a symbol of auspiciousness and peace is what i was drawing and nothing else

 

Right, but that isn't the issue is it? He was using a symbol that was drawing complaints from the server and instead of simply stopping when asked and even when kicked, he would come back onto the server to continue. This was worthy of a ban due to his actions and intent. It is just like the inverted cross. The inverted cross is the symbol of a saint, but most see it as the symbol of the devil. Highwon removed this symbol from a map based off of a flawed popular conception.
