Hopefully some of these upgrades will help relatively unused items be more reliable. I'm open to change percentages -- it's mainly the principle. Radio: Each upgrade will increase the sound radius by 25%, up to 100% Death Station: Remote detonation; can be activated in T menu Tear Gas: First level: won't affect you (regardless of who threw it); second level*: won't affect T buddies (regardless of if they have the first upgrade or not) *not really necessary
death station upgrade would be super overpowered since most menus are just GUI elements for a concmd which means it could be keybinded and pressed on the fly
I don't see how it's overpowered even if you wanted to keybind it. As of the moment, if you want to use a death station bomb, you just have to throw it down and immediately shoot it. Only downside is you might take damage or people may see you place it. If this suggestion went through, you still might be seen putting it down, but at least you could get a safe distance away. Alternatively, if you throw it down earlier in the round, and later you hear "Detective, did you put down a health station?" you can then activate it and potentially get a kill.
I think something needs to be added to radio, i think i've seen it used one out of a hundred rounds. +1 for that
Feel like the remote DS would just cause issues w/ warnings being required for it before it being detonated vs no warning needed for some random using it Tear gas *could* be good but it could also be pretty OP as you could see everyone but nobody in the gas could see you. Combine that with 3-4 tear gases and you can wipe half of the server without being shot
I like most of these upgrades. The deathstation one may be a tad overpowered, but the tear gas ones and the radio ones are pretty good. Though, and i'm just being honest, no upgrade to the radio aside from making it a lethal weapon would increase its use. The radio is a joke.
The radio is already overpowered as it is and that upgrade would make it super op. The deathsation is a bit underpowered and I think that upgrade will suit it well.
You have to be creative with the radio, I just play shotgun sounds and death sounds around a corner and plant a tripmine. They rush to get the traitor and never notice the tripmine. Bonus if its a detective, instantly get another credit to re-run the strat.
Upgrades to the radio and/or the tear gas would be awesome but I'm not so keen on more upgrades for the Death Station. I mean there is already an upgrade where traitors can heal themselves with a Death Station and it was already overpowered without it.
1st level of tear gas should protect T buddies first, and 2nd level should protect the player himself If it's the other way around, people will get the 1st level to protect themselves but won't bother upgrading it because who gives a shit about other players (I don't)
Honestly, I think it should just be an upgrade to not affect you. For instance, the tripwire upgrade: Tear Gas upgrades should be close to the same. First level doesn't affect you if you threw it. Second level, no tear gas will affect you, regardless of who threw it. This might be more of an incentive for people to buy both levels.
