Just wanna say thanks to the people that put their time in to this server to keep it going. Didn't realize how hard it is to do something like this when also balancing work, family, etc. Wish I could get myself to put in enough hours to contribute, but I wouldn't be able to bring myself to be consistent. So to those that do, know that so many people appreciate that you are managing one of the best gaming communities out there!

Thank God...I tried playing on a sever that wasn't Serious TTT and everything just felt wrong.. XD so glad that these servers aren't going away just yet <3

What changed that made this possible? I feel kinda left in the dark.

 

Stemmed from time, not having enough of it. Needed time to add content, fix crashes, fix staff team.

In the end it was realized that constant content wasn't needed, people just wanted the servers. Also realized that the crashes were almost entirely fixed by a content rollback. And finally found some people willing to spend time to lead the staff team which spread the work amongst more people reducing the time one person needed to dedicate.

 

The old broken code was removed! We also got 2 active lead admins who are really leading staff down the right paths+

I honestly don't know what to say

 

When Highwon originally said that the lack of new content was a main reason for shutting down the server, and was told that this seemed weird because nobody ever needed new content and that "I just don't wanna manage the server anymore" was a way more acceptable reason than something like "the community wants new content which I can't give so I am deleting all servers", he responded by saying that he stated multiple times that he didn't wanna manage the servers anymore and that transferring owner rights was too much of a hassle.

So he either changed his mind and likes managing the server again or he decided to transfer rights of ownership anyway.

Odd question but a lot of content such as some of the Jihad sounds that were added last year were removed because of the reversion or at least that is how it was when I last played on one of the servers. Anyway, is there any chance that some of the content that is missing might be added back?

 

In my case I want the "FOR THE EMPEROR!" Jihad sound back but I can wait a bit if need be. Not only that but I just had another thought; there has been a backlog of suggestions for TTT and to some extent Deathrun that either haven't been taken into consideration by the staff so I was wondering if anyone will take a peek at them and give them a yay or nay in terms of whether they will be added or not.

Right now new content will be on hold as we make sure server stability is where it needs to be; we can't have new content on servers that always crash.

If these next few months prove to be beneficial for SGM, new content may be considered to keep everyone happy and things interesting.
