Invalid Report against Sly/Die

Reason For Report:

After reading Ethan's appeal, and rechecking the report that got him banned in the first place, you can clearly see Sly/Die skipped 3 steps for the spamming rule to ban him for 5 days. This means he got discretion from an admin or in a worse case scenario did it himself without discretion.

Because of this, I'd also like to know the admin he contacted to get the discretion to either add them to this report or to make a new one. Abuse of power, abuse of discretion, and mistreating someone who has a pretty clean record.​

This is the report that got him banned, as you can see Ethan is infact spamming however it's not abusive, it's in dead chat, and it's not during gameplay but it is still spamming which means if we go by the rules around this place it should be a warn, and since there was no staff on at the time I highly doubt he was warned to stop by a staff prior to lead to the 5 day ban not to mention theres still a few steps skipped in the spamming ruleset.

Not enough to warrant its own report, but since its here @Die was pretty unprofessional in his PMs with me regarding my recent ban and report/appeal.

EDIT: After seeing that I called him unprofessional, he decided he should call me "salty" and be unprofessional again. Are staff not expected to keep their communications cordial and professional anymore? I don't see any other reason why he still doesn't get it.

Alrighty, thanks for reporting me on the forums let me unpack everything really quick here. Let me start with this.

You can see here under the discretion from an admin the rules can change to what they deem appropriate and reasonable. In no way shape or form is that abuse of power or abuse of discretion. As for knowing who the admin is that gave me discretion it was @Panda With a Gun. As for the claim that I was mistreating someone who has a pretty clean record that is untrue. And your complaints for the length of the ban and skipping the 8 hour ban is irrelevant since 1. Admin Discretion and 2. Because he wasn't just banned for spamming he was banned for group spamming.

Any spamming is considered abusive. Especially when there aren't staff on to combat it. Doing it along with someone else? That makes it worse.

Now to move on to Goose's concern.

If you felt offended or disrespected by my comment I apologize I just am confused as to how that happened.

I feel like I have addressed all the issues so I will be re-tagging @Grimoire+ to conclude with a verdict.

Right so i'll just keep it brief:

I don't understand either why you think spamming has to be abusive otherwise it is invalid? Spamming is exactly that, spam.

You are aware we investigate every forum report that comes in, Ethan isn't innocent and was participating in group spamming as to which admin discretion has been used to forgo the warnings and skip to a ban in this case because it was excessive, however sly handled everything correctly and i see no misuse of power or judgement in this case.
