Playground LTM Coming later today (It's early morning at the time of writing this) and I have some pretty good ideas for some challenges you and your friends could do... https://www.epicgames.com/fortnite/en-US/patch-notes/v4-5 Patch notes for those who have yet to see them, and If you don't know what I'm talking about, just go to the area talking about the new mode. So here's a quick rundown of it, it's only you and your friends of up to 4, you have a total of 1 hour of playtime within the playground, 55 minutes after the game starts the circle will begin closing in over the next 5 minutes. Chests have a 100% spawn rate among other things, and friendly fire is on, but teammates will respawn unless they're killed by the storm. Now that we've cut past the frosting on this cake, lets get into what I'm actually on about, and I'll say it simply enough: A race. 2 teams of 2 will be pitted against each other, with their goal being either Survive the storm, or cross the finish line. Simple right? But there's a twist, both teams will build a race track that the OTHER team must use to get to the finish line, and can outfit it with traps and the like to slow down the enemy team (Don't worry I've got rules that I'll talk about later) Since there's only 55 minutes before the storm starts closing in, that will be how much time you have to setup the track, along with finding a cart since I don't think you'll just spawn with one. And so onto the rules: 1. The track cannot be impossible to get through. (For instance, you can't put traps next to each other in some big line, 1 every now an then is fine but don't over do it.) 2. The track cannot be incredibly long. (You can make the track however long you'd like, but don't make it so it takes forever to get through, both teams could agree to a build limit for however much they'd like so it's fair.) 3. You CANNOT damage the enemy team directly, only indirectly. (ie. shooting them or their cart is not okay, but hurting them with a trap is fine.) 4. This isn't required but while writing this I thought of how the cart might get destroyed by traps (Spike trap maybe?) so a good idea is to setup a checkpoint on areas of the track that have another cart to alleviate this. 5. NO SHIELDS (You can have medkits and bandages, but no shields. We want the spike traps to HURT.) 6. Don't make it so easy to fall off. (ie. BIG turns and spins that could likely make you fall off, if it's close to the ground that's fine, but not if it's high in the air or anything like that.) 7. If you or your cart falls off the track, return to the same area if possible. Last but not least, 8. After the track is built and both teams are ready to go, they CANNOT build anymore, save for some exceptions. (Say the cart gets stuck in that river by Tilted and you can't get out, that would be an exception as long as they aren't cheating by building ahead of the track.) I can't wait to try this with my friends (that I somehow have,) but I wanted to share this on here so that others might try this out, be it for fun, competition, or whatevs. Now if you'll excuse me, I need shleep.
