Alright so I preordered this game the moment it was announced, and preloaded it the moment I could. I have been a long time far cry fan, and I would even consider the series to be my favorite series of all time, and even considering Far Cry 3 to be my 2nd favorite game of all time, with The Last of Us in the lead. With the launch of Far Cry 5, I was ecstatic. Im talking literally jumping up and down yelling, it was a very very happy time for me. This game would have been the greatest far cry game so far with how graphics have evolved since the launch of Far Cry 3, with new developers and story writers to completely enhance the game, and with the addition of "guns for hire... etc" I was completely filled with joy when I heard about it. I have alot of different opinions on alot of different things within the game, and I wanted to hear yalls thoughts on it as well.
Tbh, it looks really good, and I want it. But fuckkkkk 60$ pricetags, Im waiting til I get it in a year or so for 10$ on a steam sale.
The last 2 Far Cry's didn't have a decent storyline, and I mean Far Cry 4 and 5. This game to me doesn't seem very worth it. I don't get hyped for new games as much anymore because a lot of new games are just... bad.
I haven’t progressed enough into the story for 5, but it didn’t have the hook that a game should have.
Don't fuck with the badgers is all I can say.... Nah, but honestly I love playing the game 1 or 2 hours everyday and making a bit of progress. But like always it gets boring quickly... running to a mission - do the mission - get loot and reward - run to the next mission - repeat... but I get my daily fun out of it and would recommend the game to any Far Cry fan. I would recommend the game to any open world / first person shooter fan when the price drops down to 30/40 dollars/euro's.
It's a massive improvement from the previous 2 Far Cry games (excluding Primal). I think the devs started to realise that we play these types of games for fun, not to grind out hours just to get that upgrade/crafting materials/radio towers. They even make a joke about the radio towers early on. Instead of crafting animal skins for upgrades, they're now incorporated in the perk tree which you can get by completing challenges. As for gameplay, you can carry melee weapons with you and throw them. You can carry around 5 baseball bats and throw them all at your enemies. Helicopters and planes adds an interest experience. Also don't use the flamethrowers ever, they do absolutely no damage. There's microtransactions to buy cosmetic upgrades, but anybody in the right mind would actually buy them.
what do u mean @Wex flamethrowers are fun i took out a convoy with that thing. so i played it a bit more now, is fun physics are interesting, mainly the trucks with the loot, I've made those things fly quite a few times (and one time I flew and died )
Just like Farcry 3 & 4, this one is easily like-able. Some things I disagree with the game, like the story moving too quickly and some cutscenes and missions that are just forced to play that really screw up taking the game at your own pace. But overall I like it. Here's some gameplay of me getting some pretty good kills on the mission of introducing Boomer!
If I said this game sucks in this thread who will tell me I havent played the game so I cant say that, who will give me an essay about why it isn't a remake of a previous far cry and therefore not bad, who will tell me ubisoft isn't a shit company selling remakes of games and throwing on a new title for 60 dollars, who will claim to have beaten the intro sequence on hard mode without dying 20,000 times, and who will tell me to just leave already. EDIT: 1 whole day later with no retorts I think I took the words out of all the triggered baby's mouths. Get fucked kids.
