Ban Appeal Twizt

Hey I was banned last night for 5 Days for Mass RDM and I wanted to protest.

As you can see after I picked up the C4, I asked where the detective was and he and another guy were talking over each other and I thought it was the detective who said plant it for 10 minutes. As you can see in the video it was not the detective but they were talking over each other and I thought it was the detective who said it. Also you can hear how I was confused of why he asked why I planted it and I told him I planted it for 10 minutes thinking he was the one who told me to do it. Then someone went up to the C4 and blew up it and since I planted it, they counted as my kills and that's why (I'm assuming) I was banned.

Obviously you can say I could have asked again and I should have yes and I realize that for next time a situation like this happens, but I don't think I deserve the 5 Day ban at all, I think a few slays or a day ban.

I just wanted to say that you should never be planting c4 as an innocent or detective for any amount of time, regardless of whether the detective told you to or not. If your C4 kills people as an innocent, you are held completely responsible for anyone you kill. Even if the detective tells you to plant it, you made the choice out of your own free will to plant that C4 knowing full well that it could potentially kill many people.

By planting that C4, you ruined the rounds of multiple people. They're counted as your kills because people wouldn't have been killed at all if you just hadn't planted it. We have a specific protocol that we follow for Mass RDM and you were banned accordingly for the amount of people you killed. In the future, please don't plant C4 as an innocent or detective, as it can often end in situations like this.

Ok yes I understand that completely but I don't think I deserve such a massive ban for a miscommunication incident

 

You are always responsible for your own actions. If a Traitor goes "hey twizt, you should murder all the Detectives in the game", are you going to just do it and say "oh well someone told me to"? Use your common sense. Planting a C4 has zero benefits for the innocents.

Way to throw what I was saying into something completely extreme TSU, Jesus Christ. How am I supposed to know what the detective wants? Maybe he wants me to plant it so that no one else takes it? I don't know fuck. You can see in the video I wasn't the one who blew it up.

 

By planting C4 you take responsibility for what happens after - including someone failing to disarm it. He wouldn't want you to plan it so no one else can take it, there's a nifty option on C4 to destroy them.

 

That's like saying "If he told you to jump off a cliff would you do it?" Obviously not, I'm not ignorant

 

No one is trying to call you ignorant.

We're trying to explain that even if a detective told you to plant it, it does not make you any less responsible for what happens with any C4 you plant. Regardless of the reasoning behind a detective's request, planting C4 as an inno/detective is something you shouldn't be doing.

Deaths that occur from someone failing to disarm the C4 would not happen at all if you hadn't planted it in the first place, which is why you were held responsible for the 4+ deaths that had occurred as a result.

 

In this case, you were simply held responsible for your actions. You can't blame someone else for you doing something. You should NEVER plant C4 as an innocent. You know that anyone can attempt to defuse it and fail, causing multiple deaths. You would know as an innocent to not randomly shoot other players or randomly throw grenades.

This appeal has been denied. In the future, remember that you are responsible for yourself and never plant C4 as an innocent. Feel free to play on our other servers in the meantime.
