A new year, a new beginning. New year's eve is always a thoughtful time for me. It's the most symbolic moment of a new beginning, of something fresh and different. It's a feeling only a few occasions can bring. Many of us will sit today and decide their new year's resolutions. These are probably the most honest moments of us with ourselves, where we go over everything we've done and been through so far, and pinpoint the things we aren't happy about, and plan ahead on how to improve ourselves and our lives. This process of self improvement is something I personally see as a blessing. The ability to understand our failures and weaknesses, to accept them, and to overcome them, is what drives us forward. We hate the feeling of staying in place. We long for progress, no matter in which direction - just anything that'll keep us moving. Each of us have a different way to achieve this. Some translate it into actions, fueled with their passion for progression. Some dive into themselves, trying to find the answers for their questions. And some just try to go with the feeling, whatever it may be. But no matter who we are - we always try to keep moving. On this day, as a new blank page is started for us, I wish you all, dear community members, to find your way. I wish you all to find your answers, wherever you choose to search, and to reach the destinations you set for yourselves. I wish you to successfully overcome the challenges and obstacles on the way, and grow wiser and stronger through them. And most of all, no matter what is the path you choose for yourself - I wish you to find the value in the journey itself, and not only in the goal. May you find the pleasure and joy in the adventure that is our life, as much as you'll find it in your success. On behalf of myself, the administration, the staff team, and the community as a whole, I'd like to wish you all a Happy New Year, and that may you succeed in whatever you choose to do. I'd like to thank you for taking part in this amazing project called SGM. May we all have another year full of joy and memorable experiences in our community, and may we grow stronger and better with every day. Stay Awesome ~Opalium
Happy new year, nerds, weebs, edgelords, memelords, e-girls, cynics, furries, and whoever or indeed whatever (@OpalBot) else we have gathered here. I sincerely hope 2018 will be a good year for all of you
Happy new year, everyone. I wish you all nothing but the best for the year to come. Whether you're turning over a new leaf, or just staying yourself, I hope that it goes well for you. 2017 was a rather "bad" year some might say, what with all the terrorist attacks and everything negative that's affected not just a country but the world as a whole. I'm sure I can speak for not just many people in this community but many people in the entire world when I say I pray that 2018 will be different. I hope that in this year to come, you make mistakes. This sounds dumb, yeah, just like me y'know? But for real - when you make mistakes you learn from them. From experience, the best way to learn how to do something is about failing to do it the first time. If you are making mistakes then you are making new things, trying new things, pushing yourself to your limits, learning, living - and eventually succeeding. You're doing things you haven't tried before, and more importantly you are doing something. Don't worry that you aren't as good as other people. Don't think people are going to judge you for it. Because when you learn how to do it, you will have that moment of satisfaction only that type of thing can bring to you. Keep making mistakes. Keep learning from them. And keep living. Happy new year.
Happy New Year guys!!! P. S. I already achieved most of my goals(or all of them) in a record amount of time!
Happy new year everyone, im glad to see this server still going strong. Despite me no longer playing on STTT as myself (occasionally popping on with alt accounts to have some fun) im impressed by the tenacity and community of SGM. With all the ups and downs over the years its surprising that the staff managed to keep the boat floating. I wish you all the best in this new year. Time flies over us, but leaves its shadow behind.
