Rejected Mass RDM and Leave

Plain and simple.

Increase/create the punishment for mass rdm and leave instead of taking mass rdm or rdm and leave

 

Perhaps Mass RDM and Leave bans should be 2 weeks or more.

It's fine as of right now. Most players that Mass RDM and Leave have no intentions of returning to the servers and, as stated before, it can be extended with admin discretion.

Increasing the time of punishment for these players is most likely going to be a 0% chance of deterring their actions.

ACTUALLY it is a 100% chance and effective. Because for the extended time they are banned that is extra time they are detoured from ruining games.

yes but the simple thing about this is that if someone is willing to kill lets say 5 innocents and then leaves to avoid karma ban. Why should that not be an immediate increase vs rdm and leave of 1 person or just a basic mass rdm

 

Normally a staff member will try and go for the longer ban if possible. 9/10 if they have a history the staff member will try and get admin discretion to extend the bans. With the extension will keep them away and allow everyone to have a good time. I don't believe that there needs to be a punishment for this specific case.

Well,although I said what punishment could be assigned for the Mass RDM and leave(if the suggestion is accepted)that did not mean I gave a +1.-1.

I understand your intentions are good. However, you haven't really been around the community long enough to bring in suggestions with nothing really backing them other than your opinion.

Something like this has been discussed before by the staff team and we decided then that it was unneeded.

Considering that you think you can KOS on suspicion, I think you're not very well read up or experience with our rules here at SGM to be requesting additions/changes. That's my opinion.

 

@MangoTango if you could keep the excess comments related to the topic itself that'd be greeeeaaat.

 

It just wouldn’t make any sense if we increased the ban time for mass rdm and leaves. It would still most likely be counted as a normal rdm and leave ban unless if you get admin discretion. But it’s fine the way it is. -1

 

I think what the others said explain it well. If a longer ban is required, mods can always ask an admin. Otherwise, I don't see much use in this.
