I was engaged in a firefight where I crossfired a Traitor, but it was deemed not a crossfire by Scares.

I am looking for the DS to prove it was a crossfire.


He added 2 slays on to me for this.​

Hello hodir!!!! Thank you again for taking the time to report me on the forums.

Gonna cut right to the chase on this one. This is report.


And this is the video.

The Traitor you were shooting at that was behind katness moved off to the left as you can see and you kept shooting at katness and killed her instead of the other T you claimed to have been shooting at.

Also saying "I will rdm you" isn't kosable so that was the other reason you put made invalid. Also this was the second report in 2 maps where you were guilty so its an added 2 slays.

 

In this video, you can see the guy shooting BEHIND Katniss. I didn't follow him unfortunately do the chaos in chat (which you can't see or hear) and I killed Katniss because the person who she said she was going to kill died, I assumed I was being shot at by Her. In fact, it was the person directly behind her, who then moved off to the right and I lost track of him. If it's not crossfire, it's just an unfortunate gunfight.

Last but not least, RDM stands for RANDOM death matching. RANDOM. There is nothing random about Katniss's death in this video. It was a crossfire gunfight, and most CERTAINLY NOT DESERVING OF TWO SLAYS.

 

So you killed someone for something they didn't do. Also we already established it wasn't crossfire. The person moved off to the side and you kept shooting at katness instead. The two slays was because you had already been slain once for rdm. First rdm offense is 1 slay and the second is 2 slays added on. I followed protocol and your reasons were invalid.

 

I was shot from BEHIND Katniss. You can't hear the screaming and the yelling that was going on during this, and DS is CRIMINALLY bad at showing what happened, for fucks sake we're all swimming and when people die, they disappear. For instance, the person who reported me said she was ID'ing a body, but in the DS, there is no body.

To say it's not a Crossfire, is simply not true. It is a crossfire. The person who shot me was between myself and Katniss.

 

I was just approached by someone who has taken interest in the thread and they made a valid point : Could you show the DS at NORMAL SPEED? It was brought to my attention it looks like the killing was intentional when so slowed down, but speeding it up to NORMAL speed would give an accurate depiction of what happened and how fast it went down.

I expect this to happen BEFORE the verdict is passed, as my case is unfairly represented by the current DS shown in this thread.

 

Since youtube is such a great thing you can actually change the speed on the video to 2x which would be about the same as normal speed in the ds. Also watching it at this speed still shows you not looking at the one who was actually shooting you and shooting the other player.

Also this is the last I will be posting on this thread as well so we will wait for @DieKasta to finish the Report.

Im sorry to interject but I realize that I am the one that initially cause this report. I have watched the death scene many times both normal speed and sped up and I can see where you are coming from @Hodir . ThataintFalco is the T that you were in a fire fight with from what I can tell. If you look at it sped up and even slowed down you can see ThataintFalco move off to your left as you keep shooting directly at me as this was right after Scares70rm had died and I was attempting to (and did successfully just a second before I was killed) ID the body. Yes I did say that I would RDM him but making the claim and committing the act are 2 different things. If i recall correctly and @Scares70rm can correct me if I am wrong but threatening to RDM is not KOSable. You had plenty of time to stop shooting from what I could see in the DS and plenty of time to notice that he had moved.

 

Hey @Hodir, sorry for the delay.

After carefully reviewing the deathscene it becomes quite apparent that you shot the wrong player when you started getting shot at. For a kill to be considered crossfire you must be at least aiming at the player who was committing the traitorous act. In this situation, you killed a player who was 60 - 70 degrees to the right of the player shooting at you. While this may have been a knee-jerk reaction to getting shot, it's still considered rdm.

@Scares70rm (although he isn't staff at this time) acted correctly in this situation when applying a slay on you.
