We aren't crying because this is a tragedy that has befallen the us, rather that such a tragedy has happened at all. If you want to blame someone for american ignorance towards the third world, you can hold the media responsible. We only really get to see what they show us and much of us are too lazy to do our own research.

    Love ya adrian! :)

I've witnessed dozens of such killzones during my time in the army, and heard of many more as a civilian. My country, sadly, has too much innocent blood staining its history. There were worse times before, when it was almost a weekly thing, like back in 2015 when madmen attacked innocent civilians on the street with stolen knives in the name of their "ideology". And everytime, even after all this, it breaks the heart to hear those stories.
Some may think that after so many times one becomes apathetic. But that's far from the truth. To this day, even after I've seen such things with my own eyes, those stories still hit pretty hard. A mixture of emotions you can't really explain. I'm not the type of guy who is easily touched or shocked, but these blows are always too much for me. A stab right to the heart. I never knew these people, but the pain for them is still true.
These people had an entire life behind each one of them. An entire story unique to them. But these stories will not be completed. There is a start and there is a middle, but there won't be an end. And for those who cared for them, life is now becoming hell. Behind these dozens of murdered people and hundreds injured, there are now even more torn families and mourning friends. The damage is far beyond the numbers you see. It's unbelievable, to some extent.

You can't explain your thoughts towards someone who simply takes the life of innocents. They say he's a lone wolf. They say he didn't kill for an ideology. He was just insane. But it only makes it worse to know that the twisted, mad mind of someone could bring such destruction upon so many others. That a single man or woman can wake up one day and make the life of so many people into a living nightmare. It only takes a single mind to create a storm.

Words cannot really express my thoughts precisely. All I can wish for is that the close ones of the fallen may find even a tiny bit of consolation in the support of others. The majority of the world - the sane people - are with them today.
And for those whose stories will never be fully written - I just hope that wherever they are now, they are in peace.

    Rest in peace.

I didnt even see this yet, holy shit. Kinda a fucked world we live in tbh. Always having to watch over your shoulder no matter who you are or what you do. Rest in peace to those who passed, and for those injured, a complete recovery.

The Islamic State has claimed that one of their soldiers was the attacker. They're funded by the American government. The American government is to blame! Down with the system!

    Hi,

I'll keep this short, but my cousin was at the concert with his girlfriend along with her friends. Her friends did not make it out alive. Needless to say he saw a lot of shit and probably won't be the same. Please keep them along with the rest of the victims in your thoughts and prayers. Thank you.

  16. My prayers especially go out to the families who lost their loved ones. What would you do when you wake up to the news that your family member was killed at a concert? This country has to be so much more careful than it was back in the 90's. The Columbine effect has really hurt our country. To those who think this horrible tragedy is funny, I want you to think that when you woke up, your mother or father, Brother or sister, Best friend or Partner in live just passed away because someone fired upon them. Now think of someone laughing at YOUR loss. People are heartbroken and probably won't recover from their loss. Not for years. It is an absolute horrible thing that people can take this so lightly and play it off as a joke. To the people who read this, please, remember this tragedy like the families who lost someone.

This is very depressing and shocking to the country as a whole. It effects everyone, even if you are disconnected from the world. The wave of emotions will hit you like a truck and the feels will come pouring. Please, pray for the family or donate to help their loved one who went through this horrendous act of violence.

My mother was invited to go out to that particular concert; I'm very happy she declined.

Tragedy aside, I think it's very worthwhile to look at the fact that the person who did this, Stephen Paddock, had no apparent agenda, no history of mental health problems, and hardly any run-ins with the law at all. But one day he just bought a shitload of guns and ammo. He then smuggled it by luggage into a hotel room and went to town on a crowd of people. So either all of our systems are shit or this falls into some other category of problem. I'm not gonna put that on "gun control" or whatever, the guy could have been anybody. But that's the weird part. A decidedly neurotypical individual just made the choice to do this one day and off himself. I'm "hopeful" that someone digs up some evidence that provides a logical explanation, but I think it's important to consider that it might not have been logical at all. That he just did it. That is kind of scary, isn't it? What the hell are we supposed to do about a threat that can appear anywhere?

I'm not smart enough or qualified enough to go and give you my "one thing that's gonna fix it." I just like to ask questions, because I am, like most (if not all) people, incredibly stupid. Maybe, if we change our perspective on the problem or take the time to look at it then someone can find a better solution? Maybe, if we stopped momentarily promising ourselves that it'll be the last, we could use those moments to actually make it the last? Maybe then, posterity will look back in confusion at why we even had a problem like this at all? But that's not going to be a reality if we just sit around and hope that this doesn't happen again. Hope won't give those people their lives and families back and our condolences won't
un-fire those rounds and wash the streets of blood.

Of course, I'm not saying you shouldn't do those things. Your wishes for these people are wanted and wonderful, but they are just that. Wishes, hopes and prayers are worth nothing if not worked for. God doesn't give to those who don't.

Anyways, that's my piece (though I don't think it's going to earn me any praise.)
Truly, my feelings are still with those who've lost and been lost. My feelings also lie with Stephen Paddock, not for his actions but in favor of stopping whatever drove him to do this.

He was probably sick of country music tbh, who would wanna listen to that from a hotel room, maybe even his home.
