Be able to buy just ammo from the pointshop.

I see many times players (even donators that already spawn with full reserves) purchase guns from the point-shop just to take the ammo and throw the empty gun away.

Why not add the ability to just purchase ammo directly?

This wouldn't add new functionality, it would just eliminate a source of random empty guns laying on the ground.

 

Spawning with ammo is incentive to buy ranks. If you can buy both, there goes a major selling point

You can get ammo by buying the same gun you have, in the F3 menu.
It doesn't give you another gun of the same type.
I might be wrong tho

 

You can already do this by buying ammo and dropping it but this would just make it less of a hassle to do.

To add to this if you buy multiple weapons of the same type from the pointshop you get to keep the extra ammo in reserve.
I often buy a Tommy Gun and then an AK and get 105 ammo in reserve.
Also saves time since you don't have to drop the ammo on the ground and then pick it up.

 

Why do you need to buy just ammo when you can buy the gun you want and ammo comes with it?

 

This would would still be viable even if you spawned with the full ammo in reserve everytime.

Frequently (if you are on a rampage, bad at aiming with a spray and pray gun, etc), you will burn through your reserves.

Yes but then there will be a random empty gun on the map.
Might as well just cut that part out.

-1 I don't see any point of implementing this when as stated above. It is incentive for donors to get the ranks.
