He joined the server warned me once to change my name (during which I was afk). A while later he kicked me for "Refusal to change name". Then I asked him why he kicked me after asking me once, never saying anything over voice and he banned me.​

I was a witness to this and was also the person to alert Agent A of your illegal name. You had named yourself 'Nobody' which is not allowed. If you don't want to get kicked for breaking the rules then maybe next time don't break the rules. Agent A banned you for Refusal to change name + History. I don't know anything about your history but that's just why you were banned.

 

I asked you to change your name for the first time.

I waited until the start of next round, which you didn't change your name so I kicked you.

I was handling reports and noticed that you came back onto the server when checking the tab for a person's name. Then I banned you on spot.

That ban was G&E'd due to your recent history, which includes three different RDM related offenses as well as 9 bans within last two months.

Now, why did I kick you? If you read our extended rules, you can find out that it states:

Why is Nobody considered names that is inherently designed to confuse gameplay?

If you are not looking at a person to kos, it will come out as Nobody is a Traitor! That can be considered a kos on you if you had kept that name.

I warned you in the chat. You refused to change your name. I kicked you. That is considered second warning. You came back without changing name. That is a ban.

 

You gave me less than a minute to change my name, that is a little bit unreasonable... Also, most of the bans were all recanted when put under further investigation...

 

I waited until start of next round. That is plenty of time for you to change name. The kick should've let you know that you should change your name before you hop on the server again. You chose to join back without changing your name.

Except that is not the protocol that has always been taught. Improper names has always been warned, kick, and 8 hour ban. The only reason why I G&E your ban is because your history.

 

Well the majority of my history has been reversed. But because of a few karma bans, you decided to extend my ban to all servers and make it 72 times longer...

 

After checking your bans, what remains are the harassment ban as well as the three RDM-related bans that are currently active. Furthermore, Panda With a Gun's ban is still a valid ban despite being voided. That doesn't speak well for your history.

Thus, your statement that majority of your history has been reversed is not entirely true. Even so, having three active RDM-related bans doesn't even speak well for you. Regardless, I will stand by my decision that your ban will remain. However, I will reduce it to a week.

 

How about we reduce it to 8 hours again...

 

Hi Max,

Thanks for taking the time to report any issues you had in game.
After reviewing this report and its evidence, it's clear Agent followed protocol.
After being asked to change your name, you are given until after the start of the following round to change your name. If you haven't it is seen as a refusal. You may have been afk, it happens.
But after seeing you were kicked you joined with the same name. Once this happens, you are at risk of being banned.
This is the normal protocol for confusing names and not changing them when asked. Agent's Evidence shows this.

Now to the length. Your history here is pretty colorful especially recently. Which Agent took into account when issuing this ban. Which based off your history this ban is valid and reasonable.
