The county it was in never submitted it to the state, and consequently the only place there would be a record of it would be that county. To any other place in the world it would appear as if I had a clean record. Insurance will never know so my insurance price won't get jacked, and so on.

I just don't like seeing players who haven't done anything wrong for 2-4 months get punished heavily for something in the past.

At least leave on a note where we'll check to see how long ago the ban was before doing something about it.

A person with an extensive ban history could always appeal for a shorter ban.

I like the idea of "accident forgiveness" to steal from state farm (i think it was state farm... dunno), but I also agree with MangoTango.

I would suggest a compromise; Do not void one's history after enough good behavior, but reset his count as is being suggested.

Let me explain. The original idea presented is good, but add in the stipulation that a person's history is not cleared. This away you can still see all the dirtely durdels of the individual, but don't hold it against them after enough time has pass.

    FORGIVE but do NOT FORGET.

+1 this is really needed. but for the duration sake 2 month is kinda short. making it 3 month (a quarter of a year) would be valid to me.

Or maybe we get another column that shows when the ban after effect get's forgiven, and the said column get's made permanent if they get another ban before the "effect" wears off.

For example, someone get's a RDM and leave ban, their adminstats shows they would need 40 hours before the "effect" wears off, and after 40 hours the ban effect column says "expired". But if they get another ban in that duration, it changes to "Permanent". The after "effects" of the ban is essentially the accumulation of offenses to a bigger ban, an "expired" ban doesn't count toward that(unless it get's to a certain point).
