I'am contemplating buying elite for that Colt skin, but when you're 14 and your only way of purchasing things online are by stealing your mothers credit card. It's risky, but worth it. Colt Novice almost never gives up.

 

FYI:
To those purchasing elite/VIP+ subscriptions for the purpose of obtaining these limited edition weapon skins, just know that in order to continue using these skins on your account you must continue your monthly subscription. Should your elite/VIP+ rank expire, you will not have access to these unique skins until you have continued your monthly subscription (it works in the same way as player models do).

This information isn't mentioned in the original post, and it may lead some members to the wrong interpretation on how the system actually works. This was news to me, and if I wasn't aware of this, then surely others were in the same boat, and I wouldn't want to see someone disappointed in their purchase because they misinterpreted how the system works.

Yes. You'll always have the skin permanently associated with your account, but you won't be able to use it unless your current rank is VIP+ and above. So in your case, if you wanted to use the Golden scout for an entire year, your best value option would be to buy the MVP yearly subscription of $100.
