Hello, I have 1 simple question; Could SGM make !report menu better? What I mean with better: If I got killed/hit (rdm) for no reason at all. And I want to report that guy, but the guy leaves the server without getting a report, because you can't send a report to a guy that disconnects. Is it possible if that guy leaves, and I still can report him! Can you make a system like that? Because I had that a lot of times when a guy just leaves the server and then I couldn't report it As you can see at the youtube video >> Sorry for my bad English grammar! Greetings, M. Can Arslan
Hey! Usually what I do if my alleged RDMer leaves after damaging me is report the staff member that is online to deal with the report. If there is no staff member online, then reporting someone may be futile. If that's the case, I wait to see a staff member and if it's within the last two maps, I will use the @ command to chat with the staff members online and inform them of my situation.
Staff will usually handle this anyways since they are expected to handle RDM that happens and does not get reported through the system.
Hello MCan, It would be ideal to have a direct and perfect solution to everything, but at this current time this is the best we can do, however we do provide outlets and methods that are readily available to aide our players. Here are some things you can do depending on the situation, 1) Staff are present and player has left before being able to be reported Use the @ admin chat system to inform active staff of potential RDM & Leave. Staff will generally find random hits and deal with it on their own, but it's different for kills that we don't have any reason to believe is illegitimate, and they can't know that if you don't tell them. Discuss with them about your situation and things will get sorted out quite swiftly. 2) Staff are not present/staff were present during incident but left before you could discuss with them Utilize our forum reports section for in-game offenses that could not be handled on the servers. We are very proud to say we have a tremendously active staff team that monitors this section of the forums constantly. Provide your evidence (video is ideal but screenshots are still better than nothing) and your side of the story, and allow the staff to take it from there. A disclaimer in regards to forum reports is if a player has not committed a clear case(meaning we have definitive proof) of RDM, they will not be issued a punishment unless we are able to hear their side. Every situation is different and we try our best to handle them accordingly. 3) You are not comfortable/readily available to make a forum report If this is the case all staff members(excluding Trial Moderators) are able to assist you, if they are un-able to free some up some time or are for some reason hindered, they will direct you to another staff member who is available. Staff members are not required to add anyone to their personal friends-list, but if you can try to add a few it will make things easier for you in the future if you find yourself in this situation. We apologize for the inconvenience you might face with this lack of feature, but we believe our current system allows our players to communicate with staff of their issues effectively and timely. None-the-less, we are always working to better the experience and will take this into consideration. Thank you!
Hello POP STAR, First of all thank you with dealing with my Q&A thread! I totally understand what you are saying, that's why I play everytime with staff in my server, otherwise it would be a chaos/clown fiesta. I will try the steps that you have said to me, but sometimes it is annoying that people do things like this at night (no staff). But yeah, you can't do anything about it! The only way to get out of this what you said; @admin chat, making a normal report staff/player etc. I just had a question and you helped me with it, thank you for puting your time into me Greetings, M.
