Can we get me some feedback/Re-assurance?

We haven't heard pretty much anything from the devs or staff about any new changes/upcoming changes since the nether top, and even that was a mess. Can the normal players get some info about what is going on/going to happen, if anything?

I heard there was some activity on the test server, possibly a new arena that was built by a few of my friends. And testing of new plugins? Maybe? I don't know much, all I know is that they're pasting in saved schematics for a huge pvp arena and I believe a desert village too (I think, not sure on that one, it was mentioned though). Although it's not confirmed, I just get it from a skype group I'm in with them. (They're not staff, but old friends with Deathbyrussian that helped build his old server.)

So we can't even get a vague idea of what you guys are thinking? I mean, give us something more than "We are doing something eventually"

 

Maybe it's a surprise? I wouldn't say they aren't doing anything at the moment. They might just not want to spoil the goodies they have planned

This would be a lot easier to take in if this "something" hasn't been going on for the past month without anyone knowing anything...

I get sharing with us wont make it go any faster. I'm not dense. But this server had probably the strongest support from its playerbase I've ever seen, and it almost seems like the staff is actively trying to ruin that :/

 

Past few days. Nothing has been in progress for a month besides any projects the Devs may have been working on, or not. Im not them, won't speak for them. In any case I'll say again if I knew specifics I'd judge if they should be divulged but I dont even know them so you're going to get "something is happening".

The community wants the new server to thrive, that's how low population ran at first. That's how DR ran at first. Also sorry you think the staff is trying to destroy MC.

 

It's to cause suspense ooooo spooky, and I don't think it would be as exciting if it was given out right away. It probably has been taking about a month or so with the acceptions with dealing with work or school or other important things that should usually come first before a game.

I agree that this community has been pretty strong for staying for so long. And I guarantee they're waiting for something great. And something great will possibly soon be delivered (hopefully). I don't think the staff would try to deliberately ruin the support from the community, good things come to those who wait. And what we've been doing is waiting, just takes time boiii

 

Its more the steadfast refusal to give any updates about what is going on that bothers me, and it really is killing the servers. And forums. If you don't know, you don't know, but that just furthers my point of "Nobody knows what's going on" and the fact that you guys don't seem to accept or want any player input.

The Development threads havent been updated since the servers founding, almost. The only people who have any clue what is happening in development are those lucky enough to be on when a dev is on, or those who happen to click on a thread that happened to contain a reply from one of the staff.

 

He's the one with the plan.

"I don't even know" and "Something" are VERY reassuring. It's this lack of info that made me and the majority of my friends go to another server.
I still check in once in a while, hoping for a change that will help me drag them back, but it's always the same dead server and the same vague answers that pretty much mean "we don't care".

 

@Robokiller87 isn't part of the development team. He shouldn't be blamed for the lack of info on new things for the server. Just have patience. If we don't get anything, say in two or so months (just an example) then it's either on hiatus or a really big project.

You won't get instant gratification from these things, as suggested before, go to the source and ask the devs themselves if they're willing to share what's going to be in store for the future.

 

I dont know the specifics, however I was told by Highwon there's going to be change. Now that you've been given that clarification I am not administering the change personally. I am the messenger that change will happen. The people who administer the change are those in charge and so you need to trust them that there will be change. Would it just be better off if I told you "nothing is happening at all?" What if I just never responded to this at all and everyone is left with no type of response from the staff team, period? I imagine with how disgruntled everyone is now you'd be more irate if a staff member didn't address this because that would without a doubt affirm that nothing is happening. I was told there will be changes made. What are they? We're going to discuss them soon. We're going to implement them later. We're going to fix what we have.

Im still confused on where the "we dont care" vibe is coming from. After I actively for several hours mainly by myself negotiated with the staff team and with the community the nether warp we now have I would imagine that the result came off as "we do care, we are listening, we are working things through" and I'll continue to think of it like so. Sure you may relate this to the 1,2,3,4,5,6,7 threads made about "here's what we want" but at the same time you can be directed to the 1,2,3,4,5 posts about the decisions that needed to be made about these wants showing we're listening and we're trying our best to provide and we have reasons for why x,y,z isn't going to happen as well as a,b,c is coming and here it is.

 

We do care, otherwise this server would not exist. We're all getting together this weekend to coordinate ourselves and figure out a game plan for the long run. We do have content in the works now, but we do not have a defined plan for the long run. We'll be looking at all of the suggestions posted and also discussing our own ideas (I have a few) for how we can improve the server.
Please understand that the people that work on the server are all extremely busy. Each of us is a full time student and irritatingness even has a job on top of the school work. I personally am taking the most homework filled semester I've taken in my life, spending over 30 hours a week on homework for just one of the 4 classes I'm taking. So when we work on the server, we're doing it in our free time. So please continue being patient. Making big changes to the server is not an overnight process.
