I'm not sure what add-ons the server are using but last time I played minecraft I don't have to install the server add-ons manually do I?

I use optifine and 5zig it shows armour durability and a bunch of other stuff. As well as allowing you to talk in ts chat while in minecraft using f9(at least for me) optifine boosts gap if ou set it up right.

 

Quick question in terms of catching hackers, I've seen the normality for admins/higher-ups on various videos use a command that allowed them to become invisible and out of sight from people, use a noclip command to spectate suspects. What will be the process for gathering evidence to report hackers? I know that there are combat assist hacks that lets hackers always deal critical hits, bunny hop, and autolock on to players coming from behind. I mean, just watching from afar isn't really practically and they can just simply toggle it off pretty quick.

 

Can you not just hold space to bunnyhop in minecraft?

 

With Bunny hopping hacking, I believe they get an alarming amount of speed to get away.

 

(I personally tried a bunch in the past so..) There is a difference between just holding space and using a bunny hop cheat. Most servers that I have been on that have had some form of anti-cheat, usually sees that you immediately gain speed when you start to move. Alot of the ones ive been on just force you back to your original spot forcing you to turn it off to move. Others, outright ban you/kick you from the server.

(all of these are assuming we have an anticheat) For things like Flight, the server sees that youve begun to move unexpectedly and kicks you/bans you. For things like Jesus (walking on water) it just brings you back to your original position or bans you.

Attack cheats are a little harder to detect. Aimbot can be easy to see (most aimbots only toggle on with the bow), and trigger bot is also easy to see, since it spams the mouse 1 pretty fucking fast, faster than a human would be able to. Crit cheats I havent worked with yet, so I havent a clue what they look for.

For most anticheats, there are logs that log each players findings. If you suspect a player of using Xray, you can easily spectate them and see if they are only going for 1 specific type of ore. You can also look at the logs. If they are constantly finding one specific type of ore, its usually a dead sign that they are cheating using Xray.

For wallhacks/outline hacks, they can be easy to see if the player is constantly looking towards players. Its easier to see when they are playing PVP since they will auto go towards that player(s).


IMO, if you have a good anti-cheat, then none of these will be a problem.
