Reason For Report:

This started when I was sitting in the corner of a closed train cart with many players and detectives in one room. The reporting player walks in a door across the room for me, he fires a bullet from his assault/rifle and run away. I call a KOS on said person, he dies we find he is a T and so forth. He reports me saying he never shot; I made a long reply explaining the RDM situation as I always do, explaining that his rifle barrel flashed and shot in the room but missed the players.

I thought everything was fine, I still got slain though however. This is where the screenshots start; during my slay I asked Jaysu if the reporter did not in fact shoot his gun. Jaysu replies with, "well rifle shots no" I asked what does that mean, and explained that I meant any rifle such as an assault rifle because I did not know what weapon he had other than a rifle whether is was an assault one or not should not have been the deciding factor in this. I still kept calm throughout this entire thing asking questions and explaining myself but Jaysu stopped replying after a short time and then proceeded to add another round of slay onto me. I asked about this and he told me it is because of the first RDM, still not answering my previous questions or helping me at all. I then drop it until he slays me for another round, I asked why and he just tells me that he already told me. I then dropped the case and told him I'd take it to the forums before it got out of hand.

Everything in the second paragraph is an explanation of the screenshots, and my view of the story. Nothing of the conversation was cut out in any way these screenshots provide all contact between Jaysu and I during the encounter.

Hello @BMX_ATVMAN14, thank you for taking your time out to report me on the forums. Like I always say in reports against me, reports like this helps me to acknowledge my mistakes and improve my moderating skills.

While I was staffing on East 2, I came across this report, as you can see below :

Spoiler: Report for first slay

As you can see in your response, you even admitted and agreed with the victim that you killed him on suspicion. So I issued your first slay for RDM.

After a map or two, I came across another report against you, as you can see below :

As you can see in the response, you claimed that he fired rifle shots. But you showed uncertainty after I told you that he didn't fire any rifle shots. In addition, you claimed that he only shot at the other end of the train. It is not a traitorous act as you are not sure if he shot at another player or anything and for your information, we staffs only take the original response of the reported player into consideration to avoid loopholes. When I checked the shot logs, he shot another weapon instead of a rifle, as you can see below:

Since this was your second offense of RDM, I issued 2 slays on you.

In your "Reason for Report" section of this report, you claimed that I did not explain to you why I slayed you.

For the first Spoiler, this was for another map that I believe was pretty far back but I may be wrong and was just the previous rotation, either way I had no way of knowing this until after you slayed me for the second time. For this response as well as all responses I told the truth and I'm very familiar with TTT having ran my own servers; I was expecting a slay for this just not this round; this is a non-issue. However why this wasn't handled sooner as there was staff on between the '1 or 2 map changes' and fell into this case is unclear to me.

The second spoiler does show me saying rifle shots as I said in my original report, I thought it was a pretty standard thing that assault rifles are a subcategory of rifles. In my report I had no clue of his weapon he was holding; I saw the muzzle flash and run off. I personally do not feel I showed uncertainty after you told me he didn't fire rifle shots but instead fired another weapon, if anything I showed some confusion and irritation because I thought I was being slain because the reporter was right and he didn't shoot anything, however that wasn't true. So if I was expecting a slay it would've been for that. This could have all been avoided if I was simply less informative in my report. If I simply said he was shooting towards players with his gun and ran off; I personally believe you would've ticked off of this RDM report and closed it.

Also I should be more clear, he was at the opposite end of the train shooting towards my end of the train with many afk's and detectives still inside the train caboose, I'm pretty sure somewhere I stated that he was shooting towards other player and not in fact at a wall. I know shooting in the air or at walls does not count as a traitorous act.

For the last 2 chat spoilers, your highlighted message shows the reason for the first slay, which is what all of PM's to admin chat were about, I was asking questions and explaining my side to which you reply "(False kos'ing that player, so I slayed you)" Which sounds like you took in none of the information I gave you and showed no remorse for the slay even though I still feel I was in the right for. Not once did you explain about the slays for killing 'SergeantSeaBiscuit' previous map changes. So during this entire situation (and leading up to me posting this thread) I was never told I was slain for that and instead thought I had been slain 3 times for the same offense, not because of the previous RDM on a different map; which still leaves one slay unaccounted for but it's okay. Overall, I feel had this moderator better replied and helped me in this situation which I think was an error in judgement towards this simple RDM case, this would have gone smoother. Like I said in my chat I've always been adult and upfront about everything, and I believe that in a position such as yourself you would take kindly to the people who are actually trying to get justice and help from the moderators in a professional manner; as opposed to the usual people that expect moderators to handle the dirty work of RDMs and constant slander against them.

Hello there BMX_ATVMAN14. Thank you for taking the time to make a report as it helps us out a lot. Whether to clarify situations that happened, or to learn from situations to do know to do in the future.

So I took the time to read through this report and I can see that from my perspective your response to the slay was slightly confusing. It can be seen as you being unsure because of the choice of wording. In your response you had replied with, his rifle flashed as if he shot a bullet. The choice of wording is always very important when it comes to situations like these. If you had said something like, he shot towards us, he was shooting at me, he shot at someone, etc. Any response like that would have been okay and no slay would have been issued. But because you said as if he shot, it does come off as you being uncertain if he shot or not. When it comes to kills you have to always be 100% certain before you kill. If you are unsure about any kill that you do then it's not a valid kill. I understand what you meant though, but I can also see why Jaysu made the verdict that she did. Which would make your slay valid because of the weird word choice. So although he shot, your wording for the original response was enough for a slay to be given.
I would have personally asked more but Jaysu did not do anything wrong in this situation. Last note, usually staff members will go off on what the original response says so that no chance of loopholing occurs where players change their story. Which I'm not saying you did, but so you understand what Jaysu means by that.

Although, I did talk to Jaysu so that she explains herself more in game so no report would have to be made on the forums. She understands this now and she will make sure she explains herself more and answer all questions. So thank you for bringing this to my attention. I hope you understand my verdict, and if you have anymore questions then feel free to pm me on the forums for a further discussion. Once again, thank you for taking the time to report this and I will go ahead and close this up.
