I'm not to sure as to why I was banned in the first place as the server message simply just said I was banned for 4 days and to appeal here.

I know before leaving for work that I had an argument with a player named Falcor who claimed I rdm'd him which I can understand in hindsight but my intention was not malicious.

I was one of two or 3 ino's left with two detectives in the map of the big bedroom with all the pink stuff everywhere iirc (I'm not to familiar with all of the map names). I was fired upon from the closet area and took cover under the bed. One of the detectives had said that the person was dead and I said I was moving up to confirm his death. On my way up the detective said he was already confirmed but I just wanted to make sure. As I popped off the ladder and started to search for the body ( at this point I was infront of the cactus) I saw a round hit the body closest to the hole in the closet. I put it out I was investigating who shot it as it seemed illogical that it came from anywhere but there from my Point of view.

I walked inside and the player Falcor was in there, I said "High suspicion on Falcor" in voice chat and at that point the whole conversation was hard to follow as Falcor I'm assuming went to defend themselves as the detectives started to ask if he had a flare gun and that holding one is a T act.

At this point, with the evidence I had seen, even though I had not seen him holding the flare gun, but since he was the only one I could realistically believe shot the body, I opened fire and killed him. I was then killed shortly after by a T hidden somewhere in the same area.

Falcor then started to harrash me over the matter and told me "I have this recorded, see you on the forums." and left the server. I didn't really expect anything to come of it as there was a staff member on as just a round before, a player was stuck and was helped by staff, and they didn't say anything on the matter. At this point it was close for me to leave for work and the map was changing so I decided to leave.

I don't hop on the server to often as I mostly am staffing on a SWRP server but after rereading the rules I can see that my leaving would be a reason to assume my guilt in the matter and give me a ban for RDM and LTAP, though with with coming from my point of view I just did what I thought was appropriate.

I apologize to the player I killed but it was a mistake and don't really thing it warranted a full report on your part to get me banned for whatever amount of time you felt was appropriate.

All I can say is that I'm sorry for not being the most elite and knowledgeable TTT player and that I can admit to a mistake since I had no "concrete" evidence but more circumstantial.

This is my first appeal on any server on Gmod as being staff on SWRP makes sure I follow the rules to the letter. I honestly really like this server if buying supporter is anything to go off of, but if this appeal is denied, and even if it isn't, I'd appreciate any staff that was involved to explain what I had done wrong so that I may work on it as well as link me the player report as well.

None since I had to leave for work and didn't bother to take screen caps or record since it was a quick TTT session after not playing it for a few weeks or months.​

I was on the server with Jaysu and Rick while he was training. After you killed me we talked about it and I told you how you killed on suspicion since you didn't see me shoot the body with the flare gun, you assumed it was me.
You were correct but that is still suspicion, since you didn't actually see anything.
You even admit that above. Since you changed your story mid way through us talking in game, I told you and Jaysu I'd be back with a video.

You say I was harassing you but I'd like to see your evidence since this is a blatant lie. I was the senior staff member on at the time so I never even mentioned the forums, as there would be no need.
If you'd like a recording of the entire round I can see if I still have it for you.

I never disputed killing on suspicion but at the time I wasn't fully aware of that rule as I'm not a very experienced TTT player and went off a gun feeling more so than fact.

I never changed the story I had which was, I was near the body when it was hit with the flare gun and it being hit from anywhere but from inside the closet is damn near impossible, so I made a call which was the wrong one in the end. That part has been consistent the whole time, killing on suspicion is not the correct way to handle the situation as I know now but as seen in the video you had really no reason to use the flare gun as an inno, you were also the only person up there and the only one realistically able to shoot him so I felt there was enough evidence pointing to you being a T. I feel that a good amount of people would feel the same way about it if in my shoes.

You also never said you were staff, and all I had heard was that you were leaving and your parting comment was "see you on the forums." Which to me is fairly rude as I didn't think it was that serious of a crime to take to the forums and I thought you leaving was the end of it. None of the other staff had asked me to stay and being on a time crunch to leave for work I had signed off thinking the end of it.

And really I don't think the RDM charge is or was correct as you had major evidence pointing to your guilt as a T. Killing on susp sure, but pure RDM is something I have never done. I also have no evidence to post since I really don't let TTT rounds bother me that much and recording something like this has never occured to me, as stated previously, I spend most of my 900+ hours on gmod in SWRP servers and come onto this server every couple of weeks just to take a break.

If you feel that the ban is still warrented then I understand but I never had any malice behind the kill and was simply going off a gut feeling, no it was not correct but it was not RDM like you say it was and leaving the server was not to avoid punishment but more of circumstance so I ask you to please reconsider the ban.

The Body was in the open on the shelf where anyone higher up on the map could have shot it.
It was a kill on suspicion, which is RDM on these servers.

I never said I was going to the forums, as I wasn't and had no need to.
I reported you in game, came back with evidence it was a kill on suspicion/rdm and you leaving. So your ban for RDM and Leave was issued since you did not serve a slay for the RDM.


In the future I advise asking a staff member if you are free to leave by using @ chat or through pm's.
You also seem a bit unclear about killing on suspicion and rdm, I suggest looking over the MOTD and extended rules.
Unfortunately, I will be denying this appeal. You are only banned on 1 server and are free to play on 6 other TTT servers.
