Krys slaying me with no warning.

I was playing TTT when i recieved a slay from krys, I asked him what it was for and he denied me an answer. There was no player report at all, and i ended up serving my slay before he even told me what is was for or who it was to. I had no time to give a reason, because he wouldn't tell me what the slay was for, i had no idea how to begin to defend myself. He says i damaged a player named virtual for a lot of damage, which is rdm. If it was RDM, the player would have reported me for it and i would have been able to defend myself at least. Krys inferred strictly from the logs, without any outside opinions, that my damage was "random" or "without reason" and I think that's a load of bull crap. He has no evidence to support that it was random.

I saw it all That was an unjustified Slay and he would not tell Silent a thing about it he just slayed him out of no where.

 

A player does not have to report you for it not to be RDM. If you did unreasonable damage to another player, it is considered RDM; even one damage may be considered unreasonable.

 

I was there and Silent was randomly slain (i was point farming and spectating tho when it happened BUT I WASNT AFK)

 

How does he know it's unreasonable damage without any report or any sort of context of the situation? That would be an assumption made FOR the player, since the player decided not to report it for a specific reason most likely.

EDIT: ALSO, aren't moderators suppose to get both sides of story? perhaps he could have asked virtual, or maybe he could have asked me about it. But he gave me a slay and made me serve it before i even knew what it was for or had any time to explain myself.

 

Well...say you threw a grenade and did unreasonable damage. Or say you hit a crowbar with an afk. Those would be unreasonable. Also, if the player had done nothing traitorous, such as shoot, then he could slay you. Moderators don't necessarily have to get both sides of the story in those situations.

 

Players who get damaged by an inno but not killed normally don't report it as that process is harder. Staff have to look out for these scenarios.

Also, if you did 20damage with a crowbar at the start of a round they wouldn't have to get your story(unless ofc. the other person damaged/shot at you first). Though it's still preferred to get your side, I want to see Kry's side.

It appears I'm in the wrong, I'm sorry for the report and I feel like this whole thing could have been avoided if Krys actually decided to communicate with me. I honestly don't remember this happening at all, as it was a few rounds ago. I'm sure I had a reason for it though, I usually never rdm like that. Most of my issues are dealing with quick, in the moment, rash decisions. And it shows that I wasn't taking damage, so I honestly have no idea why i'd do something like that.

To the *witnesses*, please avoid bandwagoning during game, if you have an issue with a staff member, please report on forums. Do not openly put pressure/harass on staff members. All we staff members are trying to do is make the server enjoyable for you all to play in, mistakes do happen from time to time, no need to be harsh.
