Whats the coolest/nicest thing a lover has done for you?

So tho we are a gamer community I see very often them mention of someones boyfriend or girlfriend, so in order to kinda give a small moment or a peak around the person behind the screen I wanted to see what is the nicest/coolest thing your lover has done for you.


For me I was sick one day and sent a text,

When Bryce arrived about 30min later I was brought a soup from a vegan place I really like(Im not vegan dont even start, the food is good tho) a giant ass bar of Dark Chocolate, and 3 of the worst horror movies Ive ever seen.

A moment in silence

 

At one point (long ago lol) I was seeing a guy and we played World of Warcraft a lot together. I took him with me through my favorite raid, with hopes of my favorite mount in the game dropping. I had been farming that thing since the release of Wrath of the Lich King, and really didn't expect anything from it, which is why I brought someone else for company. I knew fully well that bringing someone would cause them to roll against me if the mount, Invincible, would drop, seeing as these were the days of its under 1% drop rate. Long story short, it did drop, and he passed so I could have it at long last. I cried for a few hours.

It's okay though, the person I am seeing currently passed on a mount I have been farming since 2005 or so when it dropped the other day, and then bought me a mount I've wanted (and needed) for the longest time, despite it being valued over 60,000 gold on my server (a quarter of its normal price on my server). @Emtech2 wins in this case ^_^

Note that WoW has been one of the biggest and most important things in my life, and I may or may not get overly emotional when one drops just because it's such a cool experience.

 

I had a boyfriend about a year ago (before he turned into a fuckboi), and one night my dog ran out of the house, and he spent 4 hours walking with me around the city to find him, and when we couldnt, he stayed with me that night to comfort me. It was one of the nicest things a partner has done for me, so that puts him at the top sadly.

To be honest, my wife has given me so much in the 4 1/2 years we have been together. She has shown so much support in everything that happens in my career and goes wherever the Air Force sends us. She put up with a nearly 4000 mile long distance relationship for nearly 3 years so she could be the one I would spend the rest of my life with. My wife has brought me many days of joy and has always been there as my best friend and confidant. I could not imagine a life without such an amazing woman!​

 

I understand this, although I never had any mount luck - I did share a similar (not relationship related) moment when the Warcraft movie trailer was released. I'd been waiting 9 years for it, always hearing news of it happening and then just going into dust, each year there would be talks of a wow movie happening and I got so excited but it never did. So when the trailer came out for Warcraft I shed many manly tears and spoke in a squeaky excitement fuelled voice for at least 5 hours. Even though I can't play WoW anymore, and even though it has changed so much from what I saw as perfect (WoTLK - I love arthas, read the book 10+ times.) It is still the best game I've ever played.


Anyway, onto the actual topic of nicest lover stuff. A girl (that I didn't date but liked me) did something really sweet. When I moved to Thailand and started university here, she came and spoke to me on the first day (I was a very shy fella at the time) and her English wasn't the best but I understood it and she asked me to go to lunch with her and her friends. They asked what I want to eat but I had no idea - I'm bad at spicy food and didn't know what half of it was, ended up just going with chicken and rice. The next day she brought in a little homemade book that she'd stapled together with sheets of paper, she designed it with little colour pens and printed out pictures of popular mild Thai meals and wrote their names in thai and phonetics and what is in them so that I can take a little look through like a menu and order them. It was probably the sweetest individual thing someone has done for me. After a while she told me she liked me and I told her I just want to be friends (quite a few times). She then started going crazy whenever she would see me talking to a girl that wasn't her and then demanding that I love her. Got out of there fast.

Okay, because the backstory to this would be a massive text wall (which you probably don't want, and I don't feel like typing), and because it is a lot more comedic without the backstory, I'm just going to say it:
The nicest thing my gf has done for me, is be my co-conspirator in world domination.

Honestly, she is the greatest thing that has happened to me. I really don't care if our plans for global conquest will never pan out... We mean the world to each other, so as long as we are together, we already own the world. <3

 

One of my exes made me a minimalist doll of myself. I still have it because we ended on good terms and it brings good memories. When I find a picture of it, or take a new one, I'll edit this post with it in.

 

I was playing a gig and upon my return my girlfriend had cooked me a curry, loaded up The Forest on my PC and got me some Desperados and limes was so god damned happy.

 

but in all seriousness - nicest thing that was done for me was I was given a star wars shirt from China (still wear the shit out of it) as a valentines day gift. #heknewthewaytomyheart

 

I've been thinking this over for a while. For the most part, I don't exactly have... the most fond of memories of relationships...

...Yeah, I got nothing. Usually I'm either used/abused, or I just mess things up with people I care about.

Granted, those are the only two relationships I've had, but, eh.

Wow. Now I feel like a downer. Well, just having chats and such at the time was nice.

 

My (ex) girlfriend got me into 2k debt with the bank.
