Statue of limitations in the extended rules
On our servers, players are banned daily. This does hinder your ability to play on that server, but it will not stain your record forever. With the statute of limitations, all bans you have will not be counted against you after 3 months, if you have not been banned during that time. If you are banned during that 3 months, the bans will be cleared 3 months from the most recent ban instead. If you have been banned recently, know that you are not going to be held against it if you are ban-less for 3 months.

To claim it was a "repeated offense" when I haven't done it for a year is going against the own server's policy. You should know better.


For one thing, there was a lot of texture errors due to what I'm now figuring out, that the scripts are causing LUA errors which make things appear to be happening that aren't. This includes guns flashing as if they're firing. I'm sure you've seen this happen at least once before.

I hear shots behind me, I back up, and I see some guy shooting at a 45 degree angle.
(Again, this is why I insisted on my perspective.)
I go in front of him, and he continues shooting for a few rounds, with what appears to be right next to me.

Even so, this would be Accidental RDM in that case, not loopholing as you have accused me of.

I would like to add, even if I was loopholing, this is the first offense in a year.
Year.
No warning.
Only once.
And not even anything that severe. Just killing one person on one round for shooting. ​

As you should be aware by now @Zigles banned you, so he'll respond when he can.

To note, Statue of Limitations only applies to everything with separate Offenses except Hacking.

 

You really should clarify that in the rules.

 

Hey DarmaniLink, I apologize for the lack of clarity in the extended rules. It did in fact does say that all bans fall under the statute of limitations, but our policy actually excludes hacking and discretionary bans. I have informed @Sinz and he has corrected the error.

 

Hello! So I have been conversing with you through private messages on the forums about this for a while and while it is true that the Statute of Limitations is 3 months, however as an admin, I have access to discretion and can adjust punishments as I see fit. I have found through this report and from your previous offenses, which do not fall under the Statute of Limitations as they are discretionary bans, that you are deserving of a global ban of 8 weeks. Your 2 previous global bans of 4 weeks each do not seem to have had the desired effect on you and you are still behaving poorly and expressing toxic behavior. I have heard from other moderators and admins of your ongoing toxic behavior and that coupled with this case of loopholing, I decided to ban you. I know that you are claiming that you had script errors and you thought the person was shooting at you and that the detectives skin didn't load in. However, you would have seen that
1) The detectives blue name in the top of your screen when they talked (or the detectives blue name if they typed the kos)
2)The detectives blue circle around his name when you were aiming at him

Also your story with the script errors is rather flawed, you said at one point in our conversation that it appeared that everybody was shooting all the time yet you also talked about how you specifically saw him shooting and you knew when he started and stopped shooting which does not line up with your first claim that you couldn't tell who was shooting. Along with the fact that you never once mentioned that your gmod was glitching out in the report you filed against @big bad ape I will not be unbanning you.
