Dev Want to make a Minecraft map, not sure how. Help?

Actually I just read up about a Free Trial for Minecraft Realms, it would be pretty much the perfect server to host on for the time being. If anybody wants me to start one up I can do it instantly.

 

What maps should we recreate? I was thinking hairyhouse because of the lack of traitor traps

I think we're still going to make this. I've created the server and installed some plugins for it. We could go on TeamSpeak 3 together and discuss it more there if anyone wants to.

 

So, if we were to do this, are we talking about all getting together to make one minecraft map (later to be converted to gmod), or all of us doing separate MC maps?

 

The way I see we should do it is all work on one map and then send it over to Sky to do another one while he works on whatever is needed to make it in gmod.

 

I was assuming that we were all going to work on the same map but if you want to work separately we could do that too. People who want to work together would be in a world with their "team" of people who are working with them. I was thinking of creating a void world but I'm not sure what would be best for @Skyrossm in order to convert the world. If SourceCraft had schematic support that would be ideal but I don't think that feature has been added or will be added soon.

 

SourceCraft uses X1 Y1 X2 Y2, so a cuboid. A void world would be preferred.

 

Okay, I'll generate a void world then. I'm not sure how to distribute the IP without seeming like I'm trying to advertise it... I guess we could just make a group pm on the forums (if that's possible) or we could do Steam.

I've made the server, we just need to come up with a concept then we could start building it in Minecraft. I'd like to finish this project over winter break if possible.

 

Are you guys still down to do this? I'd be up to do it throughout the rest of this week, just let me know when you want to do start.
