Invalid Report against Kythol

    Reason For Report:
    Was banned for 24 hours for "Refusal to Change Name/Trolling" because I refused to change my name... My name has 3 english characters in it. Multiple players in the game including another person who had a name with at least 3 english characters and some other ones were telling him that "HOP" are english letters. I changed the HOP part to english characters after he asked the first time but he kept pestering me anyway.​

    Just adding, when he first told me, my name didn't have english characters. Like I said though I switched it and he kept going.

    Hello Vakin! As you said, I banned you for Refusal to Change your Name. You claimed that an admin told you that you were allowed to have that name. When you said that, I went to ask my own admin, Muffin, and this was his response.

    Also, you claim that your name was changed to English characters. They were not. Here is a screenshot from when I banned you.

    As you can see, "Hop" are in characters that are NOT English. And you claim that this is your second time on, but you have been banned twice before this.

    So multiple statements that you have made in this post are untrue. Since this is my side of the story, I'll hand this over to Muffin for a final verdict.

    It's not my fault if your server didn't update my name by the time you banned me, I changed it the first time you asked and you kept arguing. Regarding the previous bans, I don't remember ever joining the server, so that's on me. I do have a witness who can tell you that I was playing with 2-4 staff members here yesterday and they were all fine with it

    The server wouldn't have to update the name. It's an automatic system set in place by Valve that forces your name to change immediately within the game. There would be no delay. Also, feel free to tag the people who were witnesses to being told that your name was fine.

    I've said it before and I'll say it again, I don't remember who was there. Yes, that sounds fishy, but it's true. I don't have the greatest memory, as you can see from the me thinking it's only my second time on.

    EDIT: I misread that, their steam ID is already on the main report. I don't know their forum account as I only met them yesterday when they asked me to teach them to bhop.

    After taking a look at one of my screenshots, the name that is shown when I banned you was somewhat blurry. I took screenshots of when I kicked you and when I banned you, as shown here.

    As you can see, there is no change in your name whatsoever, so you couldn't have changed your name. I looked at your profile now, and it happens to contain English characters. I'm not sure why you changed it AFTER I banned you, but it's not helping your cause.

    If you changed your name, it would update instantly, as Kythol said. Also, depending on when you changed your name, the game would kick you.

    The characters that can were in your name were not English, and so you were unable to be targeted via commands in chat, which for obvious reasons, is an issue. Once you refused to change your name after multiple requests, a ban was not out of line.

    Please remember next time you play on our servers that your name MUST have at least 3 English characters. Have a good one!
