As we said on shoutbox, it happends on multiple gamemodes. Your computer is really old aswell so, it might just be a coincidential crash at that time, you never know. It is probably not too much for your pc because it is only gmod that crashes. I am not really sure at this and would resort in just reinstalling gmod if I were u. Wait until a few replies come in and see, if not, you know what to do, Good luck in getting this sorted and have a nice day :)

Consider re-downloading Gmod if you have time?? Might be some file issues.

Is your computer really old by any chance?

The first thing I'd do before re-installing Garrysmod is to make sure that you verify your cache files. To do this, right click Garrysmod, goto properties, local files and verify the cache. Once that's done, see if that fixes your issue.

If that doesn't fix it, I'd recommend looking through some of the addons you're subscribed to, and see if people are reporting them causing problems with Garrysmod, whether it results in crashes, lag, FPS drop, etc. Obviously remove and addons that are reported to cause problems, and see if that helps.

Next, I'd make sure that your drivers are up to date. Steam has an interface to do this, I believe. But if not, there should be an easy way to do it through your computer as well (like finding your specific driver's software on your computer).

If that doesn't work, re-installing Garrysmod might be your best option. You might have some corrupt files that are causing a problem, or some weird, random issue that's bugging your game and preventing it from working properly. While verifying the cache should fix this if there's really a problem with the game, a fresh re-install tends to fix a lot of problems.

Hopefully something above helps. I'd walk through all of those in order if you haven't already; let us know if any of these work!
