Accepted Heavily reduce fall damage for Hiddens

    After playing a bunch of rounds of the Hidden (thanks to @Highwon forcing them), I (and other players) have noticed that the Hidden's worst enemy isn't players; it's fall damage.

    I've been victim of it myself; I went up the vent on Dolls and died when I hit the top of the vent, and considering their already very limited health pool (The same as a regular players), I think it would be best if their fall damage was reduced by a certain amount.

    We can't remove it completely, since some maps like Rooftops and Metropolis rely on fall damage at the bottom of the maps.
    If it still kills them when they fall off maps, I'd suggest a 80% fall damage reduction for them.

    This was also heavily suggested during the staff trial period of The Hidden. I agree with you, but how would you lower fall damage for just 1 person?

    I believe Highwon has a way to change it; we talked about it a bit earlier and he told me to post a suggestion to see what people think. I don't think he would've told me that if he didn't have a solution for it.

    Mmm... i think 80% reduction to fall damage would actually not kill you on those maps, but once you hit the ground on Rooftops, ect, most maps instantly kill you, or start doing damage to you until you die.

    Either way, I would agree. A reduction of some sort would be beneficial.

    There should be a way to have a player not experience environmental damage, or at least reduce it
    For reference, explosive barrels and prop damage does not damage anyone during other fun rounds. At least, that's what I've seen

    I think fall damage for the hidden should be removed all together for the hidden except for maps that have a really huge drop (Rooftops for example).

    This is a great idea, we don't want gravity to kill the Hidden but the other players. I think this should be fairly simple to implement.

    rooftops doesnt rely only on fall damage there is a kill barier down there but yea reduced fall damage on certain maps should be a thing

    Most maps have a kill zone so if you land there you will die regardless.

    However, I will +1 this because I remember how many times Muffin and others died from just falling when we were testing it.

    killed 11 people with almost no damage takn, try to right click up to the lighthouse for the last 4, die from fall damage. +1

    I haven't get to try out as a hidden yet, but I find that there is 3 things need to be done (if any of them have been done, ignore this)
    1. Making it no fall damage at all
    2.Hidden gets a single frag grenade, just to disperse a crowd of campers.
    3. Hidden recover 10 hp per kill.

    +1 #2 theres nothing worse then a group of people camping in a corner with props infont of them

    Regarding 2, The Hidden does get a frag on non-vanilla servers. There is no frag grenade on the vanilla server, and incids were disabled because the innocents would just spam rooms with incids due to no team damage and the hidden couldn't get close to them. I might create a special frag grenade for vanilla that only the hidden can use.

    Didn't know there was already frag on non-vanilla server. how about 1 and 3? it can be used to keep the hidden alive for awhile instead of being sprayed down by shotguns and Tommy guns.

    You could use the standard Half Life frag, I think that's vanilla? Not too sure

    The Hidden is now harder to see and has a incendiary grenade that does more initial explosive damage and a smoke grenade that has a bigger radius instead of frag & tear gas. The grenades are inivisible while holding them (unlike before where you could see them) and you can't buy more from pointshop.
