Hey SeriousTTT community! I never made an introduction so I feel weird posting a farewell but there are some people I need to recognize and thank for my time as a part of this community.

As many others have done in the past, I'm resigning as a staff member. I'm starting to enter a part of my life that isn't conducive to the requirements and obligations of being staff, and so I leave with with a list of people who have really impacted me since I joined the community some months ago.

NOTE: Before anyone freaks about what number they are on this list, this is an attempt at a chronological order of when I interacted with these people for the first time.

@Wolfbane I think you were the first friend I had on the servers. I remember trying to talk to mods in the general channel of Teamspeak hoping to be noticed by staff to get them to respond to my bare moderator application. After being banned by you earlier for RDM and Leave on one of the servers and subsequently having a very quick and nice ban appeal process, I decided you were a cool guy and I wanted to talk to you. You ended up teaching me how to play CS:GO (I still suck) and I remember us talking about life and such. I hope you're finding your place as a DJ!

@Matt_Allen You were the first person to +0.5 my application. I remember being so excited, someone finally noticed me. Someone is recognized that I could be a good staff member! I PMed you after I saw it and desperately tried to understand how I could get other people to notice me without promoting my application. Then and while I was staff, you were always nice and a good friend. Hope you're enjoying retirement!

@Anarchist What a guy....you were the second to comment on my app. I remember your hilarious sense of humor and the times we spent giggling in Teamspeak. Stay cool man, good luck in the future!

@Cat Fried Rice You were another one of the people I mods I met in general. I remember being up at some 4am awful hour playing Datmap with you and having an absolute blast. While our tenures on staff didn't much overlap, you were always a joy to play with. Wish you the best!

@Sir Lemoncakes FREEGAME !!! That was the password to that channel you made with the random numbers. I remember everyone in general trying to figure out what the hell those numbers meant (Black Ops anyone?) You ended up giving me VIP+ for that puzzle and I was so incredibley excited. I didn't believe that kind of generosity could be given to a rando from the internet. With every person that commented on my app, my eyes grew wider and when I saw you and Nena joking around on my app, I was waiting...and waiting...and then one morning I woke up and looked on the website and saw the notification. I had an intense feeling of validation. I was so excited that out of all of the admins, you were the one who picked me up. Just the pure intellect and presence you projected through the mic was amazing. Then it was me, you Mama Cthulu and CoCo (with big bro Forcie on the side) chilling in our little mod family. When you left, I was a bit distraught. I didn't know what being staff was going to be without you being my admin. I'm so thankful that we kept in touch over Steam and played some games together. You never finished pwning me at Civ 5, but you did show me how to wreck face at Crusader Kings 2. From sharing book recommendations to talking about our goals, our lives, and what we value, you've been a true friend and I'm sure you've been given this description many times over, but you my man, are a gentleman and a scholar. Whether you become an engineer, a philosopher, or the president, you're going to have an incredible future.

@Cthuluhoop MAMA Y U NO MAKE COOKIES!! Seriously though would you believe that my first interaction with you was getting frustrated because you slaid me late at night and me talking smack (you may not remember, I do )? I remember being super excited when you started to train CoCo and I. You were a sassy queen and kept making me smile and giggle. You trained us well, we turned out alright. Then came #drama and I was sad to see you go. We still played Rust and Gmod and I may have specifically hunted you down a few times with a harpoon, BUT THAT'S LOVE!!! Seriously though, you've been a wonderful person to talk to, you've helped me learn more about myself as a person, and you're the best to talk to <3. I hope your trip this summer is fruitful and you stay your sassy self forever. <3 you

@TheCoCoFTW There is too much to say in the limit of even one post. You've been a friend, a confidant, a rival, a brother. When we first got trial mod for Lemon in same hour, I had no idea who you were. I just knew people liked you, everyone liked you (a trait that hasn't seemed to evaporate over my time here). And GODDAMMIT after an hour of staffing with you I LIKED YOU! You're kinda amazing in that way. Anyway we learned and bled together for that day of trial modding until we became big boys in cyan. Since then I've held you close through all my time staffing. You made me smile, proud, sad when you left, and ecstatic when you returned. I wish you so much damn happiness and success in life, you're honestly an amazing person.

@forcie What a bro. I remember you taking me onto Vanilla after I'd already become a mod saying you were going to teach me the REAL way of modding. You definitely taught me a few tricks, but more so you made giggle a lot at your accent. Gone now, but not forever, I'm glad we still get to talk every once in a while. Hope everything's going alright on your end!

 

Alright the rest of you are jumbled as all hell since I became staff so I'll try to hit everyone.

@Noctorious I think you were the first applicant I ever vouched for. I just saw this guy who kept creating a headache of valid reports that I dealt with every morning and I said, "we just need to promote this guy so he can deal with the reports himself". I'm confident in saying that you've from a little sprout with me training you on Vanilla to a blossoming mod. Keep doing you

@MrEvanJ | SP STOP POKING ME I SWEAR TO...man we had some good times in the Teamspeak channel. You're a hilarious guy. Definitely made me laugh a lot with some of the things you said, but overall a solid staff member. I'll always smile when I think of you.

@Muffin We rarely got a chance to really hang out, but I have a lot of respect for you. Sorry I don't have much to say due to our lack of interaction, but I just wanted to acknowledge you for being a solid guy an interesting person when opportunity put us in the same Teamspeak channel. I really tried to take after your professionalism when modding.

@Steven | SP Stay 2k bro...do you remember that broodmother game? I swear I've never seen people develop arachnophobia so fast in their lives. You woulda thought they were being chased by Aragog amirite? No seriously, you've always been a chiller when we've talked. From Gmod to Dota, the times have been good. Stay cool

@BmTron BMTRAIN....that is all. (You're such a fun person to talk to/poke/come up with silly names for)

@Finn Fourth times the charm for admins right? Though we haven't been able to talk much as of late, I remember the great conversations we had (my gainz...). You're a brilliant staff member and I appreciate your open and friendly demeanor. You're definitely one of the most approachable people on the servers. Stay chill, get swole.

@Darth West You literally gave me hope that my app wasn't just being ignored and for that I am thankful. Literally one of the best moderators I've ever known on these servers. Knowledgeable, professional, and a great guy to chill with in TS. It was a pleasure to get to know you.

@Hirari We had some interesting conversations together. Would you believe that you reporting me on the forums for false slaying you would lead to me putting you name forward to be a mod? Seeing you grow from a Vanilla regular to a strong staff member has been a pleasure. It was great staffing with you, don't knife too many scrubs, and keep doing what you're doing.

@Slicck Thanks for being my admin for all of three seconds. Seriously though, you're always chillin like a villain. It was a pleasure being your moderator and I wish you the best in leadship. Though we may have drifted apart a bit, I'll remember you as a kind and intelligent staffer who I've looked up to since you came back.

@Darktooth I don't know how you do music, school, girlfriend, and lead all at the same time but you're amazing. One of the most honest people I've met here. If there is anyone I needed to turn to for advice or criticism for improvement, you are definitely high on my list. I sympathize with how hard your job can be sometimes and I just want to let you know how much I respect and appreciate being a mod on the staff team with you. Stay hilarious ayy lmao

Being a member of STTT I like to think has changed me in a positive way. I hope that as I leave, I can look back and know that I had a similar effect on the community.
