Why do we have to let a person crowbar us to death, and not defend ourselves? I was slain earlier because i killed a person because they were trying to crowbar me, and i was right by explosive barrels, to prevent both getting blown up and crowbared, i shot the explosive barrels, so why do we have to wait for them to kill us first? Would it not go under the section of |Traitor Baiting| ?

What are you talking about? Are you asking why we can't kill someone for just swinging a crowbar and not hitting us? If that is the case, it's because swinging a crowbar at someone isn't traitorous until they hit you.

Even if you're by a barrel that explodes on contact of a hit?

Yes. That would be the same thing as shooting above an explosive barrel, but not actually hitting it.

Here's the issue: Crowbars can't crossfire or damage players for missing unless you directly damage or hit them. That is the reason why Crowbars aren't considered traitorous if you're swinging them at players. Guns however, can easily damage other players even if you miss unless you're shooting directly on the ground or the sky. So if you were to fire a bullet to the left or right of a player, there is still a chance where you can damage (or kill) another player OR the same player you were traitor baiting.

As for your explosive barrel scenario, if the crowbar swinger ends up hitting the barrel and causing it to explode, then any damage that they cause will be given the appropriate amount of punishment (unless they're a traitor and not damaging/killing any of their traitor buddies for no legitimate reason of course) necessary.

However, you mention that if you were near an explosive barrel, then that wouldn't matter if they were swinging a crowbar at you unless the scenario I listed above occurs.
