So as we all know it's MLK day and he stood up to what he believed and it happened. If you could stand up for one thing, what would it be? This thread is meant to be serious
Women's rights. Because people think rape is funny. Obviously, it can happen to anybody, but this tweet was directed towards women. Spoiler: Disgusting Tweet
Sorry clicked dumb by accident. I undid it. Iphone. Anyway I agree. Another is equal pay. It still goes to this day. Some women are boses yet their paying the men more
Equality for all. I figure that men have to live with crap that women give and women live with crap men give. So why not equality for all? No double standards.
Completely agree, but the issue is that a few countries offered help and Nigeria refused their involvement. And it does suck that it doesn't get more widespread attention but the whole charlie hebdo incident happened in an area where this wasn't common what so ever so it had more of a "attack on home" feel to it. Where as Africa has been having these issues continuously, not justifying the less attention but it's obvious when something abnormal gets more of a head turn.
I pretty much support the Constitution, and cherish every freedom it gives us. However with them trying to get rid of the second amendment and seeing what happened in a "Gun Free" zone in Paris. Has me worried.
I know their twitter account is a joke, and that's fine. If they wanna make women in the kitchen jokes, which they often do, then fine. It's a little sexist and immature, but nothing horribly offensive. There are jokes like that, and then there's rape jokes. Joking about raping someone is going to far. Someone might as well be joking about a veteran having PTSD. I don't want to start a flame war, if you really wanna talk about this some more, I'll be happy to do so. Just thought I would explain my reasoning.
I am for the equal treatment of people. Being a white, American male has afforded me some great opportunities. I just want everyone to have the same opportunitues as me and I want to be given the same opportunities as everyone else. I don't care what God you choose to worship or not worship, what your race or ethnicity is, your sexual preference is, or where you choose to live. I don't care who you really are and what makes you, you. I just care that you respect everything that I am. Live and let live.
I was actually gonna say this but in a different manner. As a Native American, I see too often of my own kind being mistreated all because of the fucking colour of their skin. My dad got arrested at the mall all because he was fucking brown and I'm not even joking. And my dad now has a bad back because one of the mall cops put his knee on his back and put way too much pressure when my dad wasn't even resisting. (Needless to say we sued them and won.) I just simply want everyone on this planet to be given equal chances as the person next too them and to be treated equally. If I ever see a person get mistreated for "being different" I'll get pissed off.
I stand up for OAPs on our local buses, because walking to the back is a bit awkward for them #Proud2BeABrit
