Reason For Report:

Rsancho killed a detective, Guilty refused to slay him for bullshit reasons of self defense, rsancho has been rdming all night and I think guilty is protecting him. I saw rsancho shoot the detective in the back with a double barrel, with no provocation, and he should be slayed, multiple people are calling for slays and instead he slays the detective that was killed. stop this abuse of power.​

Hello Edgar Allen Pro (or formerly known as Neighsayer and currently known as Foxy the Pirate)! Hope you're having a good evening and thank you for making this report again to see if my judgment was false in this situation.

Now, let's go over the event in question by starting off with the screenshots show below in a spoiler form.

Now we'll start with the report Darkhaven made on @rsancho1123 first. Now, Darkhaven claims RDM, but Rsancho1123 explains that he was getting shot first. Then move forward to a report that Rsancho1123 makes back on Darkhaven and Darkhaven confesses that he shot Rsancho first because he was being blocked and even warned that he was going to do it. And finally in the middle, the logs show that Darkhaven shot and damaged first in this situation, which gave RSancho1123 the full rights to kill Darkhaven in self defense.

Now why was Darkhaven slain then despite being a detective?

-This is because he shot Rsancho1123 for no reason. You cannot kill people (or attempt to kill them) for blocking a pathway unless it causes their imminent doom. In this situation, it did NOT cause their imminent doom so Darkhaven committed RDM in this situation. Also, our servers do not use a warning system when it comes to shooting players. As a result, this also bolsters my reasoning on why he had to be slain.

But why wasn't RSancho1123 slain despite killing a detective?

-This is because he acted on self-defense. Detectives may be immune to traitorous acts, but once they damage a player, the realm of traitorous acts has been breached and now it falls under potential acts of RDM. There are very few instances where innocents can kill a detective and this is one of those situations. Considering the detective had an illegitimate reason to try and kill the innocent (blocking is NOT a good reason at all), the innocent now has the full rights to shoot back and kill the detective in return. This is why Darkhaven was killed and Rsancho1123 not slain for it. I don't recommend this kind of action at all, but this is still a reason to kill a detective.

As for the people crying about public opinion for a slay on Rsancho1123, their opinions do not drive the staff member's decision to slay a player. They do not have access to the advanced version of the damagelogs that the staff use so their opinions do not sway the final verdict in the end. I will be tagging my admin, @Thorn , or any other higher up to finish this report off in the end. I hope this will convince you why I committed to the actions I took during that instance. I saw what happened, he shot the detective in the back point blank, and then was killed for it, upload dmg logs

 

you are spectating the game, how hard is it to upload dmg logs, unless you are doctoring them to protect your friend?

 

Pay attention to the times on these posts, changing numbers and names on a picture in not difficult with microsoft paint and/or photoshop, you only need a few minutes at best

Please be patient, @Guilty will answer at his own discretion, constantly pestering someone does not help. Also about "multiple people calling for slays", don't fall into the mob mentality. Moderators need to uphold the rules, not please everyone on the server.

Rsancho killed him WAY past the time he was damaged, the damage logs show enough evidence of this, and editing a post is low, try posting again instead of being a douchebag and trying to make me look like an idiot by editing an earlier post. THIS IS AN ABUSE OF POWER, PERIOD. Rsancho whould be slain for what he did, there was a full 32 seconds before rsancho shot AND KILLED the detective with a double barrel.

 

You are not the victim in this situation and should not file a report against a staff member because of it. You are not aware of the events that lead to the player's death nor do you have access to our damagelogs that provide detail for everything that happens during a round. This report adds to your history of false allegations against staff members and your negligence to abide by our forum rules, specifically this thread. Your actions in this report treat @Guilty with contempt and complete disrespect, you show no patience or respect for staff members, consequently, you will be issued a warning for Inappropriate Behavior.

@Edgar Allan Pro I was also there by that round when it happened and I also reached the same decision as @Guilty
