    Reason For Report:
Failed to slay an inno for RDMing me (also inno). I'll make this short and sweet. Someone called a KOS on a T for using the Dragunov. I followed the KOS and killed the T. An inno then killed me thinking that I was RDMing. All the while I'm saying in chat I killed the T and if this guy listened he would have known that. Didnt even give me 1 second to ID the body. Darth refused to slay the inno, correct me if i'm wrong but isn't a KOS a valid reason to kill someone without being traiterous?? Posted the chat I sent to him in-game and his response.

@Darth West will respond at his earliest convenience.

Just a note for your scenario I would like to add is that if you're seen shooting towards a player and the shooter doesn't know you're trying to kill a traitor, they can still shoot as well as kill you because you also committed a traitorous act. They don't need to wait for you to identify the body.

How was your action traitorous you might ask? Because you were shooting towards a player, which is a traitorous act and that can be interpreted by someone as you trying to kill the player. Their responses will generally be to shoot the player without waiting for a reason on why you did it.

There was a KOS called multiple times. I also said in voice chat I was killing the guy..

What's the point of KOS's and voice chat if people can't use them properly? Can I just kill anyone who follows through with a KOS and feign ignorance..?

    • Please do not comment on reports you are not involved with.
Traitors call KOS's all the time when defending themselves against someone. A KOS can only be trusted after the KOS'd player is killed and ID'd as a traitor(giving benefit of the 5 second grace period for witnesses).

Note to self- kill anyone following through with KOSs without letting them ID cause apparently they're moot.

Darth West I am Darth West, Dark Lord of the Sith. VIP

The "RDM" that you reported was not actually Rdm. When you started to shoot at someone you committed a traitorous act, regardless of the fact that there was a kos. As seen below you never got to id the body, which would have started the 5 second grace period. Since you never got to prove that you killed a traitor (by the act of iding), the person that killed you assumed that you were randomly shooting the player. It is possibly that people do not see the kos and just see you shooting another, which makes them believe that you are a traitor yourself. If you would have id'd the body and then have 5 seconds pass then if the other player killed you, it would have been rdm. Seeing as that is not the case the person that killed you was not slain.

Below are the logs of said incident.

Isn't the idea that if someone calls a KOS and it's false then you can KOS them.... So a T calling a false KOS can then be killed. Obviously if there are very few people left they should then be taken with a grain of salt

The T guy fired at group of about 6 innos and multiple people called him out. What's the point of KOSs if this scenario can take place?

The point of a KOS is to place a target over a potential traitor's head. No one is obligated to act on the KOS. If they act because of the KOS, then they're also putting themselves at risk because they themselves are committing a traitorous act.

Thanks, I'm still trying to understand the rules better. I guess from now on i'll just kill anyone that acts on a KOS.

I'm going to try and explain this in simple terms for you: Shooting at players regardless of your reasons behind it can get you killed, because it's a traitorous act to shoot towards players.

    This report is INVALID

Killing anyone who acts on a KOS or anyone who is t-baiting, aka shooting at players for what you know to be a valid reason is a sure way to get yourself karma banned. We have a system in place for faulty thinking like that.
