You preach a server that obeys the rules, yet your server had no admins 90% of the time, my investment of 20 dollars is ill spent, either step your security, or refund my money, because you are not serious about the rules, you're just a bunch of con artists.

 

What times do you usually play?

Currently, it is school time for high school aged Americans and many of our staff are high school aged (it's not something we can help, we don't get very many 18+ applicants) so I apologize for the inconvenience you are experiencing.

 

90% of the time =/= 2 hours at max per day.

 

Be nice now, he does have a good point. If all he plays is during the few hours we are short staffed then this is what he sees.

 

Well, you could argue it is ignorant to base such views off of such a small percentage of time, then claim it to be 90% of the time. If he is an American, he should be able to figure out that staff might be a little thin in the dead of the night because people are sleeping for school/work. Although, I do see how he might be upset if he does only play during the night frame, and experiences that on a consistent basis.

I'm sorry for the inconvenience. We try to ensure every hour of the day is staffed in order to ensure that our rules are enforced. Sadly, we're only human and ruled by law to attend school, eat, sleep (and oversleep on the weekends), and attend to our family and friends. This cuts into certain hours of the day making it difficult for certain time frames to be staffed. However, we do try our hardest to ensure that it any server does not go unstaffed for a lengthy length of time.

I ensure you, we are not con-artist. We do not require anyone to donate to our servers. It is not a purchase; Donations should be made out of good will and to support the sever. Any money donated goes toward the server maintenance and improvement and none of it is used for personal use. We are more than serious about the rules and ensuring our player base is content. Again, sorry for the inconvenience, but we try our best to staff our servers. If you wish to report a player(s), please do so here on the forums and we will punish the player accordingly.

Hey bro, I feel ya. However, you made your final decision some time in the past without a doubt presumably (which is now not the case since you are showing regret) to donate 20 bucks. Before one is to dwell into something like this (or just about anything in life), you have to take into account all the pros and cons and see if you can live with them. It would seem you truly do not want to assist the server if you do receive such treatment and in the end have not foreseen such an outcome occurring when you first donated. I'd say you are just in trying to get attention for the issue, however you are being stingy in that you seemingly want to donate for whatever cause (because to me it is not apparent why you donated) however you are now asking for a refund. You donate to be generous and STTT doesn't have to, but they do give you benefits in return and you should be at the very least glad for that.

Luckily for you, they do enforce the rules and they have many staff members who are available when they are. Be happy for that.

We try our best to keep our servers staffed, but the key issue is that we all have different schedules. It has been stated before, if we had 40 moderators we would be able to staff every server continuously if each mod put in 30+ hours. Now, the issue is different scheduling, so it's impossible.

We try our best here at SeriousTTT to ensure each player has a great experience with us.

 

You do realize that most of the staff at night are a sleep for school/work right? Some mods need that for the upcoming days of life. Asking for a refund too is considered a Perma Ban so think before you ask because you were the one who donated.

 

How are we con artists if we didn't promise you anything? On the donation page where does it say that with your money we promise that the servers will always be staffed for you? You choose, out of your own free will, that you'll decide to donate. Now we don't have to give you access to certain things in our server but we say, hey since you we so kind enough that you decided to donate some money to us we'll go ahead and give you something for free because, you know, it's not like we have to or anything.
If you do decide to have your money charged back to you, you will be permanently banned from all of our servers. Why? Because not only do we have to give you 20$ back, but we also have to pay a fee to even give you the money back.

Look, I've seen the replies and I was being rash and not thinking, I was also smashed on whiskey at the time. I spent a good 3 hours being RDMed with no staff around and I was new to the servers so I didn't know the tools available to me. I work full time, afternoon to late night, then I game from late night to early morning. Since I've realized most mods are teenagers, I'm looking through the site to see about applying to be a mod that will exclusively be for those late night and early morning hours to help fill the gap, I'd hate for anyone else to feel the frustration of being rdmed every round for hours on end.

 

Also, forum mods, feel free to end or delete this thread at your digression.
