Good evening STTT! I have a mini guide for the new and older users alike who meet our most pleasant/hated feature in the server. The REPORT menu! When you get killed by another player and don't think it is fair, always REPORT! However, with that being said, you need to explain yourself when you report someone or if you're reported. You need to meaningful report! Instead of putting the minimum (or nothing for that matter), tell us what happened. Or if you're reported please type what happened in your perspective. Leaving it blank or being ambiguous can lead to unwanted effects! To stave off confusion if you put meaningful responses in your reports then justice will be served and you as a player will be greater off for it. If you have any questions about our report system. Please comment below!
not gonna lie, ever since like a week ago now i've been mainly putting song lyrics in my reports (ingame reports) i know i shouldn't but come on it's funny
I understand trying to be funny but still at the meat please put what happened. Because logs can help but having a fleshed out report does wonders!
Most of the time i just say "Why did you kill me again?" But sometimes i will put detailed information in the report.
So typing "RDM" when someone rdm's you for an unknown reason might not even result to a slay? I got RDMed so many times and type "RDM" on my report because he killed me for some weird reason. But they still get away without slay
Just a note to remember, if you are reported and you do not bother to include information and just send a blank response, chances are 99% of the time you will be slayed.
In ideal situations staff should pm the player and notify them that their response is blank and failure to provide a response will result in a slay.
@The Law you are right, this gets done but the ones who tend to hand in blank responses, tend to ignore the messages and when they get slayed tend to explain after they have been slayed.
You have no idea of how much I wanted to reply with just "RDM." Seriously though, players should be using their sides of the reporting procedure to illustrate the events for the staff handling the report. Oh yeah, don't harass in a report.
Harassment is a quick way to get a staff member to get the ball rolling on muting and gagging you. Great of you to point out Mango!
I feel like you should mention the overuse of forum reports, in my opinion reporting for very small damage on the forums is a waste of staff time. Spoiler: Example http://www.seriousttt.com/threads/report-against-cm112.13706/
While I do agree to a certain extent. Technically the player is right. Would I report? No. It's 16 damage. It didn't ruin my round.
I understand its RDM, obviously, but there needs to be a line between forum reportable RDM and RDM you shouldn't worry about.
"He passed an unidentified body. I was gonna let it slide, but he basically T-bagged the body... then he burned it... So that means he had a T gun... Oh not to mention he killed like 6 people...."
