Reason For Report:

I feel he does not do a very good job looking into things considering I was RDM'd and the reason being I was by a "unid'd" body when the round just took in to play and there was only one body there that was ID. I no this doesn't sound like to big of a deal but I feel like he could have handled it better. specially when I ask if the case can be unopened all he said was no report me on the forums if u don't like it. there could have been a way better reply then that.​

So, today you are reporting me for:

I'm going to lay the situation out in front of you and tell you what went down.

Spoiler: The Report

In this report, you reported a player for RDMing you, because you claimed you had done nothing wrong. Sounds fair, right? However, in our rules, under traitorous acts...


There is a rule that if you don't identify a body or are near unid'd bodies, you can be killed for it. This player actually had responded saying "you were next to a un ID'd body and dead detective.." The latter part of the response is not needed, since being near a dead body is fine. But, as he claims, you were by an unidentified body, which by our rules, is a T act and can get you killed for it.

But you know this already, no?





I will admit: I did a pretty meh job explaining EXACTLY why this wasn't RDM. I was trying to balance paying attention to your concerns, paying attention to the fast moving chat, and getting distracted by IRL voices that were directed at me and I was half hearing. I asked you to report me on the forums if you felt I was unjust in this report, since you seemed like you really wanted this report to be valid. I, however, would have explained it further if you had just taken a bit of time and not repeatedly asked in adminchat to "open your report."

When I said "I can't do anything about that," I was trying to imply that the situation was a "word vs word" scenario. This is when your word and his word are different pieces of information, and the logs do not help out the situation in the slightest. He claims the body was unid'd. You claim it was ID'd. What can I do with this information? If I were to slay him for RDM, I basically took your side. If I slayed you, that wouldn't even make sense. If I slayed no one, then an innocent person cannot be punished.

Shortly after I remember typing "It's your word vs his, who do I believe? I can't issue a slay." After me writing this, you responded something along the lines of "So you can't slay him" and "please reopen my case." After you still not understanding what I was saying, I just wanted you to report me so that we can settle it with my fellow colleagues present.

Do you now understand the situation?

I will say that most of the cases you are reporting to me for are invalid, but however, I will attempt to be more patient with you in the future and focus a little better on your case in hand. I do apologize if my words seemed "rushed" or "lackluster," but I tried my best to dictate what was wrong.

If my Lead Administrator @Slicck would like to look over this report, he may. However, any of my administrators may look at the evidence present and make a verdict.

Darktooth couldn't have explained it better. The report was handled appropriately, though you are right that both of us could have put more effort into explaining why your report was deemed invalid. With that being said, I'm going to be locking this report in 1 hour in-case you have anything else to add.

 

its not so much the fact of if he was slayed or not it was how the issue was handled that im upset about.

 

We understand. Sometimes it's hard for us to dictate to you that your report was invalid in the midst of all the game events. I wish our report system had a function to PM players when their report is done and if it is valid or not, and if invalid: Why. It's a shame that I was unable to give you as detailed as an explanation as I could on here, but I actually had to get off the servers to write this up. Full fledged explanations in-game are pretty tough to sort out.

I'm sorry you have been upset by this scenario! I can guarantee that whenever an issue arises in the future, I will help you to the fullest amount and explain every scenario cleanly. I'll even fluff your pillow and feed you grapes.
